Warning: do not read this thread if you do not want to see spoilers.

______________________________

How would you summarize the game's lore if someone asked you to? Big spoilers are allowed. Preferably just one fluent text without bullet points.

I am aware that there are already summaries online, but I am looking for personal summaries for 3 reasons:
-To find out what lorehounds would include or leave out/find more important to mention
-To find out what lore elements recur the most frequently
-To find out what the differences are between the summaries

I am also aware that there is a lot of lore, but give it a try, preferably without looking at other replies. There is no limit to how long your summary can be (so perhaps type it in Word first). I think it will be interesting to see how most of you would go about this. Consider this some sort of creative exercise and feel free to discuss summaries submitted by other players.

I look forward to reading your replies!

Please don't use spoiler tabs, that will just make everything harder to read.
And no, "Guthix dies" is not a good summary.

Medieval fantasy world turns out to be the perfect creation of eldritch creator/destroyer gods, who plan on eating it soonish. Other lesser gods fight over said world for various reasons. There's an adventurer who does a few things, and will hopefully play some part in preventing the world from being eaten. Patrolling Lore FC almost makes you wish for a Great Revision.

Five amorphous, eternal beings endlessly generate a chaotic universe to realize a kernel of perfect magical potential - on which they can feed and be reborn, continuing the cycle ad infinitum. Occasionally their leavings generate bacteria.

Since people already did good ones on in-universe lore, I'm going to tackle a different angle:

Accidentally competent idiot protagonist blunders his/her way through world filled with British humor. Later on Cerberus syndrome sets in and things get really serious all of a sudden.
Writers have strange fetish for cabbages.

On the year 16something of fifth age a foolish adventurer does everything random strangers ask him to do, making the world slightly less horrible than the "what if" -timeline. He also starts a new age almost alone, which usually is only done by gods. Also, he may have doomed the world. THe world will be fine though. The world guardian can fix this. He also gets to know many powerful beings personally. Like... well... Gods. And gielinor's own kind of minigods, Mahjarrats. He also personally kills many of the powerful beings (Not gods or mahjarrat though) to save the useless kingdoms of gielinor NO
I do not ship ZamorakxZaros.
I follow them. And Marimbo, the best t5 god.

Remember back when Saradomin was the "good" god? Well he's not, he just has really good PR and his followers killed anyone that disagreed with his goodness.
I'm no one's servant!

Good. Never let anyone think differently

I was never surprised. How is "Order" ever established without discipline and control.
