Elder gods and tier-hood?

Can an elder god be "demoted" on the tier list?
If not (which i would imagine is the case), does that mean Zaros and Seren, being created by one directly, are stuck on t2 forever (unless Zaros moves up).
If they cannot be demoted, are there sub tiers of tiers? I.E you meanies people I don't agree with who sabotaged Zaros, he is weaker than those who fully restored him. Still t2 i assume.

Elder gods, clear cut no. They are an immeasurable distance from tier 2 and even Mah in her mentally stunted husk form, which we can consider incredibly weak for an Elder god is still, as I said, an immeasurable distance from tier 2 and what Zaros and Seren can do.

Zaros and Seren are both on tier 2 as of pre Children of Mah currently regardless of your choices in all prior quests, I would personally say yes they can fall bellow tier 2, but keep in mind as a floating ball of purple darkness Zaros was still technically on tier 2, barely clinging on.

It'll take a lot to knock the siblings off of tier 2, and we can assume for any other god that hopefully never manages to reach that peak too.

Most likely not. One of the key things Jagex keeps saying is the elder gods are suppose to be alien beings that work differently from everything else, like Mah's fascination for life last cycle was an sickness, which made her stillborn yet still alive in this cycle.

Even if they dropped to little to no power where any tom, dick, or harry could finish them off I'd expect them to still be in tier 1. Tier 1 seems to be a special tier that differentiates the other gods from the elders. "Your god's dead next time he's in a world event. "

@leth, ya the fact that even when Zaros didn't have a body and was still t2 is what started the train of thought that lead to this thread.
@paladin, hmm, where did it say mah had a "fascination" with life and that is why she is stillborn? Cause that is interesting :o Nature Rosa's alt and lover of angst, bad feels, and bunnies.

It was at runefest, think it was the lore panel. They said that last cycle Mah started to create stuff like butterflies and was fascinated with them and the other elders knew it was a sickness that was consuming her. "Your god's dead next time he's in a world event. "

Well i missed THAT at rf...and ya, i *Do* remember reading on the wikia year or two ago that mah's stillborn-ness was the reason mortals could exist....
