Thought I'd make this thread because why not. Write down all your theories/predictions and I'll list them here (on second thought not many people can respond by tomorrow, so you can just read people's predictions). You get bragging rights the more things you get right.

Shoutout: According to Lupus, Mod Ollie may be in Lore Fc tomorrow. Anyone is free to come.

Questions:
1) Why are the mahjarrat losing their power so rapidly that they need another ritual?
2) Which mahjarrat will die? Which gods will die? Will Mah die?
3) Will Mah be successful or partially successful in destroying Frenesake and creating her own universe?
4) Will Seren or Sliske appear, and if so what role will they have in the quest? Who else might appear in the quest?
5) Will Kharsai (or some other mahjarrat) have special significance in the quest?
6) What will be the outcome of Zamorak's and Zaros' confrontation?
7) Will the cutscene of the betrayal reveal anything we didn't know before?

My personal theories:
• The Mahjarrat are losing their power because of Mah.
Counter theory (ala Leth): Seren is responsible for it.
• Khazard and Hazeel unlikely to die since they could really be used for a future Ardougne-related quest. Enakhra and Akthanakos could also still use some development. The three best mahjarrat to die are probably Azzanadra, Kharshai and Zemouregal.
If it's Azzanadra, it may be related to Zaros losing his body again, either temporarily or permanently (eg. if he ascends).
If it's Kharshai, it may be related to him offering to sacrifice himself, or because the mahjarrat turn on him.
If it's Zemouregal, it may be related to his relationship to Zamorak (remember the end of DaT?)
If it's Bilrach, it may be related to him protecting Zamorak (eg. Zaros shoot a magic blast at Zamorak, and Bilrach jumps in the way)

• Atleast one god is going to die, since Sliske needs to update his scoreboard.
• Zaros won't die, since it's too early in his story. Zamorak won't die either (I heard from someone that he is appearing in the Evil Dave quest next year?)
• Because of that, the confrontation will lead to a stalemate.
Theory: The two get over their past and make a temporary alliance.
• Mah will either die, or be trapped/contained somehow by Zaros.
• If Seren appears, she might be the one to die.
Theory: Zaros kills Seren, either to deal with Mah, and/or become and Elder God
• If Sliske appears, it would be mainly just to count up tallies and maybe be creepy and carry off a body again. Idk.
• There was going to be a quest involving Mah called Mah in the Abyss. Maybe the abyss will be in the quest somehow?

A couple of questions:

1) What makes you think Sliske needs to update his scoreboard? ...Of course, he doesn't need a God to die to do that, as evidenced by Gielinor. Nobody even needs to die for him to update as seen with BoL.

2) I've heard talk of "which Mahjarrat is going to die?" but is there any particular reason people think someone's gonna die?
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

1) Well his scoreboard was made basically for the endgame. My thought is that not much really happened since then, and this is Jagex's last chance to do it.

2) I don't know actually. I heard somewhere that a jmod said one mahjarrat was going to die, but I don't know if that's true or not.

You honestly think Zaros would kill Seren? Christ on a bike.

I foresee either 2 Gods becoming weakened, dependent on your choice, Zaros could absolutely throttle Zamorak, Vise versa.

As for Seren she could be there to stop the victor of the fight, should there be one, from going too far. Zaros would listen to her, Zamorak would have no choice because of the difference in power other than to obey her.

Mod Wolf cried at this quest, so be on guard for any sad feels. It's why I'm banking on Mah dying. For all her outbursts, she truly is just a child who was fascinated by life.

Several things I predict.

1)Zaros and Zamorak will walk away with 1 point each with a "victory" against Mah.

2)I doubt we'll see any mahjarrat die.

3)With Zaros and Zamorak being in the quest I'm expecting a large Saradomin lore bomb-shell and am expecting to write a Saradomin thread tomorrow. If Mod Wolf cried during the quest it's possible that those were tears of infinite saradominist sadness.

4)There won't be any god deaths, Zaros and Zamorak are the only 2 gods that are confirmed to be in quests in 2017.

It's not a question of "if", but "why". Zaros would kill Seren, Azzanadra, the WG...anyone, really, if the benefits outweighed the costs. The question is what benefit could he gain from killing Seren.

My predictions~

-glaring ignorance of major Mahjarrat lore (I'm guessing we'll AT LEAST get something that contradicts Mahjarrat Memories, Enakhra's Lament, or Twice Burnt)
-some major lore mystery unceremoniously revealed in a bland piece of expositional dialogue five minutes into the quest
-dialogue that could easily be replaced with a set of TV Tropes madlibs
-clear, unambiguous markers (whether in dialogue or otherwise) for every single meaningful plot advancement, and an utter lack of subtext
-character relationships that can be easily described in one word
-an appearance from Guthix that goes nowhere
-IF a Mahjarrat dies - Kharshai
-IF a god dies - some Mahjarrat has a lolapostasy and gets instantly 'sploded
-Moia takes on a roomful of Mahjarrat all by herself
-A complete lack of surprise/fear/reaction at the existence of Muspah
-An actual prediction: Mahjarrat power is getting involuntarily sucked up by some Elder. Zaros gets Seren to help save 'em on Frenesake, since she invented rituals. She gets sad cos she has to drain power from berserk Mah to save Mahjarrat. Unknown Elder revealed on Gielinor.
-stale messageboard memes
-Sliske trollface
-a fun toy
-decent puzzles and combat encounters
