I know that this has very little relevance to the lore, and is a small character detail at most, but I just wonder if aviansie would yawn when preening/scratching their ears; it's a trait found in most, if not all, bird species, and it's already known that aviansie have several traits found in real-life bird species, including mating for life, preening, being highly social and forming flocks, being highly-reliant on their wings, hollow bones, talons/claws, feathers, flight, etc. Thus, it makes sense that they may also have a yawn reflex that can be triggered by touching their ear, whether to adjust their crop (assuming their internal biology closely resembles that of real birds), equalize pressure in their ears (since birds don't have external earlobes, so touching them messes with the pressure), etc.
This would also have funny implications for aviantese doctor appointments, since they test reflexes: "Perching looks good, now for the yawn…" Do aviansie have the perching reflex?
