so my question how does slayer as any skill actually work as lore wise?

if we go into lore why actually you cant kill slayer monster without slayer level or if its not enough good?
is this kind magic or what?
maybe in future we could explore slayer orgins/roots and find out what exctaly caused theys kind monster in first place?and how first slayers actually found way to kill slayer monsters?

We actually have far more lore than DrauDaedolon mentioned with Slayer in RS3.

Not just murals and lore on slayer mobs, we also have significant lore added to new RS3 Slayer Masters in recent years. Starting with Sumona, the newer slayer masters are getting a lot of actions not just from passive lore, but intensive actions in quests and other lore based content.

Laniakea and The Raptor (AKA Queen Ellamaria) have even lot more of lore, events and quests behind them.

its probably better to view the slayer monsters as creatures so powerful you have to know the specific way to deal damage to them. like banshees i could understand training, you gotta learn to use earmuffs or face certain death. strykewyrms you gotta learn to draw them out and get your attacks through their exoskeletons. the dark beasts are powerful creatures requiring specific knowledge to take on.

so the first slayer masters are just people who focused on perfecting taking on the most dangerous of monsters.
