In OSRS, we get to see Camorra's history and that she played a role in the Dragonkin conflicts. She eventually plays a role (long after her death) in Dragon Slayer 2 to help stop Vorkath.
Now, we've finally had The Raptor's identity revealed.
Given the mish-mashed narrative that is Dead and Buried, here is the theory:
1) The Raptor was always going to be revealed to be a woman
2) Initial design had Camorra as The Raptor (how she survived so long would be a separate mystery. Bare in mind Charos has been alive a long time)
3) Vorkath is going to come to RS3
4) At some point in Dead and Buried's development, someone said "eh, we don't want to take too much from OSRS"
So ...... this caused the problem.
You needed a female character, but the devs didn't have many other options. So they went with one of the few options they had: Ellamaria
It didn't necessarily require a change to the technical
design
of the quest, but it did impact the
narrative
.
Now the juicy part: The devs are going to say (someway, somehow) that Ellamaria IS Camorra.
Maybe Ellamaria is simply just Camorra.
Maybe Ellamaria is a soul split Camorra. (The Queen is in Varrock atm and is the less aggressive parts of the personality, and The Raptor is a separate entity who just happens to look/sound/act like Ellamaria ... just more combative and looking for worth in this modern age).
