Hello all, after 4 years of absence I am here again
. I am not sure whether i will continue my Runescape adventure though, but during the summer, i had so much time to think about things and life in general and a friend told me about how he came back, OSRS though but still and told me something about falador massacre anniversary, updates, etc. I took some time to relieve some nostalgic moments through old RS videos and soon i was reading things about this world of RS i have never thought of before. I played 2007-2012 and in this time i never thought of history and creation of this world. I mean I knew the basic gods, but that's pretty much it. Since i may not have enough time to play it all again, i am still interested in discovering it. I never knew the story behind the barrows brothers before, or Zaros or anything. Back then i just played and didn't care, today i wish there was a big fat book about this amazing world i could read for hours
. My question; Where can I read more about this world, besides rswiki? I mean it's a good source of info but it would be good if there was an index or something i could follow without getting confused. I think there's much more to this world than i thought when i was in elementary school heh..

It depends on what you're looking for tbh. In no particular order...
* There's a
Lores & Histories
section on the website that features a few short stories on various topics and characters of the world that are canon.
*A few threads on this very forum are compilations of information on a few topics. I'll have to do some digging to see if they're still around since those types are less common than they used to be, but I think there's at least 2 bigger ones that have been around for a while.
* If you have members, a few monsters drop lore books that are usually transcribed on these forums too. Rs Wiki also has them transcribed if you can't find what you're looking for here.
* Quests are probably the main source of information that we talk about here. Requires members to access just about all the big stuff though.
* Every so often there will be podcasts on the website somewhere (and on Jagex's own PodBean page) that contain lore tidbits. Above the Lore was probably the only series that covered lore exclusively, though other individual casts will have Q&A's about a specific quest or lore related topic.
^+^ Antediluvian of the Draculesti Bloodline ^+^
^+^ If the Gods see fit to curse us with the Blood, then we shall raise ourselves above them ^+^
That's an issue, I think; There isn't, really. The Wiki fansite has a lot of inaccuracies and headcanons passed off as fact, but there's nothing comparable from the actual game developers.
A lot of the time you just have to do quests and such and piece this together for yourself. :/
You know what you could do, though? I happen to be pretty knowledgeable about lore, if I do say so myself. If you had any questions for me, I'd be happy to try to tell you what I know. But I might be a little reluctant about spoiling quests you haven't done. (For example, if you want to know more about Zaros, I'd recommend quests like Fate of the Gods - I might not want to just give you the info straight up, you know?)
