Does anyone have ideas on the Church of Armadyl?

Not their teachings, but the how they teach it. Do they share rank structures with Saradominists? What are the titles of clergy?

What are their ceremonies like? Is it a big, open ceremony? Would they be against churches, and more in favour of the sky above them in open air-buildings and amphitheaters?

It seems we know more about the Old Aviansie religion and its practices, than we do of the current church. Unless people have asked questions in Lore Q and A's I just can't find anywhere.

Anyone have a better idea on this than me?

It's likely done in a way so that their followers share experiences and support each other through hard times.

To those cursed by war and pest, Come into the light of Armadyl and rest. This is the law of Armadyl.

We might get more information on it in RoP, which I hope comes out later this year.

I think that the Church of Armadyl is more spiritualistic than anything else. More community based, rather than worship based. Like, Armadyl wants Gods and Mortals to be equal, so I doubt that he asks to be worshiped, rather the church is a place to go during times of hardship, where you can ask for help, and it will be given.

I imagine Armadyl's church would be something like your encounter with him in Sliske's maze if he's without his entourage.

Armadyl: I'm glad it's you. Come, take a seat.

And if you so choose, you can sit with him as he talks openly about personal thoughts and feelings. It's a friendly, warm-hearted encounter, and not without a touch of humour.

It seems reasonable that Armadylean sermons might be like that. Open, informal seated gatherings in which a wise person, even Armadyl himself, speaks warm words of guidance and nurturing to the throng. Likely talks among those attending, too, with the Aviansie's strong focus on community. Times set aside for relaxation, a restful environment for mutual encouragement and support.

But *IS* there a current church? Who actually follows Armadyl?

1) Aviansie

2) Some bands of bandits in the Wilderness

3) A coven of guardians who have been hiding in a cave for centuries

...and possibly the player, depending on their choices.

There was once a Church of Armadyl...they were a zealous bunch of aviansie who would constantly preach justice without actually understanding its meaning and sing praises to Armadyl.

I burned the church down. They died. I built a Church of Hazeel in its place. To anyone who has actually heard an aviansie sing, you understand why I had to do what I did. Your welcome.

I hear the last remants of the church continue to thrive in World 42.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

We thank you for your service Hazeel.

Incidentally the armadylians of W42 have always been background noise really.

I still suspect the day will come where Armadyl seeks his vengeance on Zamorak for Forinthry now the Endgame is over. That could even involve a truce or alliance with the one god who's beaten Zamorak in the past, Saradomin. Supporter of
