So you want a job?
You have qualifications? Well, you at least have a warm body. That's always a good starting point.

Look, let's be honest. Not everybody has what it takes to be self employed (the whole premise behind the "adventuring" shtick).
Maybe you're not self motivated.
Maybe you don't like being the 1 in charge.
Maybe you don't have the GP to start a business.
Maybe you just don't have a good idea for what to do.
Maybe you did have a good idea ... it just didn't work out too well. Like a Children's Petting Zoo featuring Carnivorous Chinchompas.

At the same time, some people may prefer more honest lines of work. So fields like thief and pirate may not be open to you.

Whatever the reason, the good news is that here at the Gielinor Employment Center, we have a short list of places looking for someone like you.
The best part about all of these job is they are entry level positions with no potential for advancement. So you'll never need to make another decision, ever again!!!

Please note that the positions provided are paid or contract positions, not ones that are internships (translation: "paid with experience" ... )
The Sawmill, Doric and Son, and other locations may be "hiring" ... the locations are notorious for not paying out to workers.

Slayer

Requirements:
Some combat gear.
Willingness to face Death (records indicate this may be literal).
Must be willing to travel.

Position is considered a "contract" position.

One of the more popular employment fields.
Non-union.
Highest potential earnings career. But also has a high turnover rate. Also noted for high risk of personal injury.

Simply talk to a Slayer Master that is ... willing to talk to you ...
They will give you a target to go kill a certain amount of.
Simply pick up whatever is dropped and sell/process for GP as you see fit.

Position is great for those with any reason for getting into it. Whether it be for "protecting the greater good", seeking a challenge, murderous intent, or just a particular dislike for a specific species.
Also provides great flexibility for the various combat styles to take part in.

Banana Picker/Packer

Requirements:
None

Position is available at Luthas' Banana Plantation at Musa Point of Karamja.
Worker is required to provide their own travel to the site.

Pay is 30 GP for every 10 bananas picked and placed in a crate.
No major skills required.

Position does offer a scenic view and a temperate climate.

Miner/Smither for Dwarven Company

Requirements:
Some skill at mining and smithing

Speak to one of the many Dwarven Mining Companies of the Consortium in Keldragim. Several of them are willing to take on humans to mine ores and smelt bars, and even help out with the Blast Furnace.

Pay scale is relatively low, but doable.

The mining companies are known to require you to mine/smelt bars and deliver within a certain time frame.

Aluft Aloft Gnome Food Delivery Service

Requirements:
Met the gnomes and gotten basic training on the finer points of gnome cuisine and alcohol

For delivery:
None but a willingness and ability to travel all over the world.

For Cook:
Cooking Level of 6 to 42.

Speak to Aluft Aloft for an opportunity to cook and/or deliver the finest gnomic cuisine.
Some of the clientele are known to be spread far and wide, but the gnomes can be good tippers.

Fishing Trawler

Requirements:
Some skill at fishing.
Ability to plug holes in a ship and repair nets

Speak to Murphy at Port Khazard.
Great line of work if you love fishing, the open sea ... and being on a boat that could sink at any time.

Pay isn't direct, but you can become a fishmonger and sell whatever you catch.

~~Contractor in The Arc~~

Requirements:
Level 90 in specific skills
Ability to travel to The Arc

Speak to Sojob or certain other individuals around The Arc.
Payment is in Chimes.

The GEC has brought this posting down as while it seems that the contractor position is available, it should be noted that one needed to be the owner of a port in Port Sarim and managing the port before one can become a contractor.

Until this little confusion is cleared up, allowing for more adventurer types to take up contract positions in The Arc, the GEC is delisting it.
