New lore book: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Vicendithas%27_Scribblings

Discuss your thoughts on it.

TL;DR
• Kerapac has a son named Vicendithas who is a softy, unlike his father.

• Vicendithas creates a new dragon using a white dragon egg, elven crystal, and Kerapac's blood: An elven crystal dragon that spits beautiful white fire.

• Vicendithas loves the dragon and considers it his daughter. He swears to protect it from Kerapac, who'd only see it as another test subject for torture.

• The crystal dragon grows at an abnormally fast and healthy rate. It is the pinnacle of dragon pedigree.

• The crystal dragon impregnates itself by shapeshifting genders and inseminating herself while a male. She/he lays six eggs that hatch to become gemstone dragons. Dragonstone is invented.

• Best-father-of-the-year Kerapac forgets he had a son and decides to come down to his basement after years to see what he is up to. He. Is. Disgusted.

• Kerapac is fascinated by the dragons; they are better than his own metal dragons . Kerapac demands to take the dragons and eggs in order to dissect them and discover what makes them ticks.

• Vicendithas says 'piss off' and hides the gemstone dragons under Shilo Village. Kerapac burns the lab to the ground. Vicendithas hides her daughter somewhere special. THE END.
I worship Mah, for she is mah homegirl! The correct adjective for Mah's followers are: Mahomies, Mah-homeboys, or Mah-homegirls.

Father and son were together again during Sliske's Endgame. Wonder if they reconciled. "Ptolemos, the friendly, informative Mahjarrat."

It's also highly implied that the motherlode maw was the crystal dragon's food trough (shape of a Dragonkin face, and can summon a variety of what is requested from it).

By effect, this also implies that the resource dungeon the maw is in was the crystal dragon's testing chamber (3 sections: one large with humans (now edimmu); one with the food trough (maw); and one unspecified).

Which would also hint that the edimmu originated from, and possibly because of, the humans killed by the crystal dragon and that the resource dungeon was once, and potentially still is, located between the warped and frozen floors (as that's where the running water is said to come from).

With the Maw being the dragon's source of food, that also seems to imply dragons like to eat dragon metal - though them digesting it is probably another story.

The Maw delivers a variety of what is requested. The dragon requested food, we request help getting to comp/trim.

A couple of things:

- Vicendithas naming Dragonstone makes little sense. What are the odds that Humans would later call it the exact same thing the Dragonkin did? Seems like they went primarily for name recognition. I suppose the journal could have been translated.

- Vicendithas mentions a place of worship and stealing an altar from Kerapac. This seems strange to me. The kin hate the creators, they hate ascended beings, and they hate themselves. Who could they possibly want to pray to?
-
I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
- We call it being a hero.

He was the first to coin the term. I daresay that the name arose and stuck in other populations purely as a stone that didn't arise naturally and tended to be found on and around dragons.

Keep in mind that the worship area was for the crystal dragon, and not dragonkin use. Given the dragonkin tendency toward hightened self-worth, I'd attribute it to him getting his 'daughter' to worship and obey him (instilling loyalty).

As for the altar, an altar is a raised table or other structure used in rituals (rites) of a usually religious origin. The altar could very well be used in magic rituals, ancestor worship, or honoring of the society they lost when the elder gods destroyed their home.

The thing that caught my eye with this book was the talk of the original crystal dragon that spawned the gemstone dragons. According to the book it was simply hidden away at the end, meaning it could well still be out there. Could this be jagex setting up a possible new boss or quest later on?

Almost certainly. It's a direct parallel to Forcae's Oricalkum (likely going to be changed to Drakkurlith) Dragon and the deliberately ambiguous nature of when and who the incinerated Dragonkin in the area was killed. Jagex likes leaving such points open for future content to address.

Takes a while to pay off though. The concept of a white dragon was introduced back in 2006 with 3rd age range armor, but we didn't get to see a white dragon until 2014 with One of a Kind, and we were waiting for Adamant and Rune Dragons (2015) since Mithril Dragons were released (2007). Based on those cases, be prepared to wait upwards of 8 years for the crystal dragon.

So considering it was "pure" elven crystal, chances are Dragonstone (the first crystal dragon) is essentially born with a part of seren in her.
This would effectively make her similair to nex (who contains a small fragment of zaros).

This might also be why he shows affection for his "child" while the norm might be kerapac's way, she might have inherited a version of Seren's adoration aura.

really hoping that they're gonna go further down this rabbit hole, the dragonkin still have so much potential lorewise.
