So they added something similar to this in rs3 where people could have bonfires you would just continuously toss logs into one fire. At a fairly slower rate than lighting them manually. This is something that I'd actually like back in the game. Maybe something they can bring in with the forestry update.

I was thinking this, however I have criticisms of the RS3 variant. In RS3, no one does line fires anymore because Bonfires are simultaneously more afk, more xp per log, and more xp/hour. There is no balance in the system. If they added the Bonfire system to OSRS, I would expect it to be either equivalent or less xp per log, and definitely less xp/hr. The best xp method should never be the easiest and most afk.

Definitely agree with this sentiment. I also like the fact that a fire is an individual fire and the rest should be up to you (and the effort you're willing to put in to light that glorious firey line). Bonfires would be an interesting thing to expand into though!
