Hi all!
Okay so hear me out... this is going to sound strange, but now that the Anima Mundi has been mentioned in an official OSRS quest, I think it's time for Brassica Prime to make an appearance.
This would start out with a (preferably f2p... you gotta give them a hit of the good stuff now and then) quest introducing the canon existence of Brassica as the cabbage god. This would entail a gnome visiting Falador farm because he's sensing an imbalance related to the cabbage patch. The player then has to go find various items scattered around all the cabbage patch locations in the f2p areas of the world (plus a cabbage cape of course - can't fight the boss without that!) not to mention a larger than average spade to uproot the boss, which consists of a 3x3 cabbage growing in an instanced location with essentially a cabbage patch doll underneath for roots. Every npc dialogue could include the phrase "My cabbages!!!" as a fun reference to Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Once the boss is awakened it's susceptible to crush/slash attacks and throws poisoned cabbages. Rare drops could include a cabbage hat, ring, or other clothing item that slightly amplifies the nutritive benefit of all food consumed... not so much as to overpower the item, but enough that in a few f2p scenarios it could be a best in slot item, and a decent one in p2p. Depending on boss difficulty and quest frustration level, we'd also be looking at possible cooking, hitpoints, or crafting XP drops, according to the specifics of what items need to be created to face the final boss.
That's the f2p quest at the beginning. It introduces concepts from farming and herblore. The potential tie-ins to the Glouphrie quest series and the mention of gnomes in general serve essentially as an advertisement for p2p. (Ka-ching?)
Now here's where it gets fun. Eventually through subsequent quests (all in p2p I'm sure) the player character would meet Brassica Prime and fight its nemesis... Kholss Lau? (TBD)
