A few ideas to make the shanty pass less annoying in my opinion.

The problem I have with the pass is you need to have the pass in your inventory to pass.

I feel a few solutions could be;

1. a coffer of money/shanty passes

2. a set amount of money given to shanty for unrestricted passing (ex. 1m one time purchase)

3. pull gold/pass from bank if any are in your bank when crossing the pass

I feel this could also be locked behind the hard diary if they wish to go that route.
