As many of you know in the "Skiller" or "Unique Account Builds" community training Slayer as a level 3 or seeking to train Slayer without raising combat requires countless hours searching for xp lamps in Varrock Museum. This method on average can net the player approximately 2,000 xp per hour. (nearly 6,500 hours to reach level 99)

I propose a more feasible method that would allow Skillers and/or Unique Account Builds to hire "Slayer Mercenary NPCs" in which the player would be tasked with slayer tasks with a "Slayer Mercenary NPC" and have no risk of gaining any combat xp. The player would be required to supply the mercenary with different items such as weapons, armors, food, and potions as well as payment depending on the slayer task that is received.

XP rates are completely up for debate and I would argue that low level tasks should start at approximately 2,000 Slayer xp per hour and higher level tasks could cap upwards at 10,000 Slayer xp per hour. Please let me know your thoughts and thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion.

Politely disagree because I'm a bit wary of changing content to significant degrees to satisfy unique account builds including historically well known ones like skillers.

While I'm not completely against closing strange loopholes with quest rewards etc that jagex is already doing I'm personally not for introducing entirely new training methods. Especially for Slayer given that it would detract from the entire purpose of the skill.

Just my 2c :)

Thank you for your feedback. I don’t feel that this would significantly change the game as the xp rates would be very low compared to traditional methods of Slayer. It gives players an alternative method to the searching for xp lamps method. If this suggestion were to be considered changing content to a significant degree then I would be pleased with any small changes allowing the unique account build community to level up slayer without spending countless hours in varrock museum.

I do understand your wishes and the wishes of the unique build community in general. The poll on account builds that failed a few months ago really put this conversation into the spotlight so it's important to think about.

It's just that, imo, doing this for skillers in order to train some slayer, which is entirely a combat skill just isn't something I can get behind.

I do wish you all the best with the skilling grind! :) It's a shame skilling isn't as lucrative as it once was. I spent many an hour being a level 3 skiller back in the day and seeing the small community of them in game brings back a lot of nostalgia!
