In my honest opinion, making the wilderness "instanced" is totally out of line with the "oldschool" way of things. I personally don't support this idea.
This account, Maydaysos, is not an Iron man, but I have an Iron man, and I knew there would be certain difficulties when I made it. I am sorry about the challenges you face as an iron man in the wildy, but that is literally one of the things that comes with it, and it's one of the reasons why doing widly achievments in wildy as an iron man are that, achievements.
I forgot the youtuber, he's a popular runescape player who did something has a hard core iron man where if you die you become a regular ironman. He posted a video of him doing many dangerous activities in wildy without dying. If he could do it, so can you.
I don't remember if you are aware of the protest and disappointment that came when Jagex ended the wildy and implemented EoC a while ago, but I was one of the many who were unhappy. I believe this would do the same with the majority of players. Many players simply do not check forums.
I would be unhappy with the concept of the wildy being "instanced". That's not how the wildy is supposed to be, it is the wildy, where people can attack you, that's
the entire point of the wilderness
. If you have any friends or clan members, then I would suggest you ask them to come with you when you're doing certain wildy activities like fighting the bosses to get the upgraded mage arena capes.
I play oldschool runescape to play
oldschool
.
This concept of changing the wildy to fit the needs of ironmen is not in line with the oldschool philosophy in my honest opinion. I respectfully oppose this suggestion.
