Instead of locking stats for unique accounts why not incorporate some content into the game to open up different play styles and grinds.
For example, a tree of quests which unlock different items but have a high skill threshold to complete.
Eg,
A melee weapon and range weapons/ammo which don't give HP XP but can only be used after completing a quest which requires 92 str/range
A magic secs equivalent which can only be used after completing a quest which requires 85 farming.
This would be a simple way to open up more grinds for unique accounts (eg 10hps) while maintaining integrity re having to do the hard grinds before being able to use (for those that care about that type of thing).
