As a kid, the only reason why I played runescape so much was because I was absolutely obsessed with castle wars. I wish Jagex would expand on castle wars because it's still my favorite game mode. Some cool ideas would be like:
- new and larger castle wars maps
- new rewards
- new castle wars exclusive abilities (like bigger ice barrage width), could be unlocked with points
- new castle war items in game such as bigger barricades, bombs, or traps
- new game modes:
-- larger player count games (instead of 100 players, make it 250 or something)
-- kill the king where players need to defend one player from dying
-- more than 2 teams
-- a game mode where only select items are available
-- ranger, magic, or melee only
-- increase the size of the castles (more than 2 stories or just a lot wider), or even tall towers with 5+ stories
-- kill a player and you get double the health (basically more kills turns you into a tank)
-- destroy the other team's castle instead of capture the flag
-- resource gathering for skillers that can help the team gain more damage, abilities, food, or potions
These are what I came up with on the spot and I'm sure they could come up with even better ideas. Castle wars is dead content and it makes me sad. Please add new stuff to castle wars. If this was released, I bet castle wars will become alive again like it was back in 2008. I miss the feeling of 100 people chasing you because you have a flag in your hand. It was so lit back then.
