I am quite enjoying the new PvM content from DT2 bosses, however as a colorblind individual, I am again a little discouraged by more boss mechanics that are color-based.. such as the orb colors at the new boss Leviathan. I personally cannot tell the different between the green and the orange orbs. I was wondering why I was taking so much damage and having difficulty killing the boss before I was told there was an orange color for melee attacks. This, along with other content, such as the monkey colors in ToA's Ba-Ba puzzle room and ghost colors at Cerberus, adds additional extreme difficulty for colorblind players such as myself. And yes, I have tried runelite colorblind plugins that are supposed to help but from my personal experience they haven't. I know there are other mechanics to help differentiate, such as sound, but that doesn't come close to leveling out the player experience and overall difficulty. I would really appreciate it if there could be some consideration to make colors in PvM content more easily contrasted and identifiable for the many colorblind players out there such as myself. Such as for the Leviathan, changing the orange melee orb to a darker red would likely be a big help for me and many other gamers. 1/50 people have some degree of colorblindness, so I know I'm not alone here. In fact, I've met many other players in-game with the same frustrations and wishes for equity in boss mechanic difficulty. There is a lot of information easily available on colorblindness, such as the most common color shades/hues of green & red that are most difficult to differentiate. I am happy to answer any questions regarding this though. Having color-based PvM mechanics that shy away from these color hues, or simply adding increased contrast and vibrance to the existing colors, would help level out the playing field for players like myself.
I sincerely appreciate any thoughts and consideration.
