Hi Jagex & team.
W345 DMM has recently gained some traffic due to the accounts being sent over from the DMM apocalypse tournament. This traffic is however dying extremely fast, as the DMM PVP server is currently set to work against the pker and punish them severely for pking. Here are my ideas on how to tackle this issue and revive w345 for epic content and super fun gameplay.
1. Death Mechanic Overhaul:
-Currently the death mechanics are horrible. We need no exp loss. If you die while skulled, you are punished by losing half of your exp in 85% of your stats, meaning for every death you need to grind for 5-6 hours to recover all your stats. This is just pointless. People work, have children, school, families to tend to and even though exp rates are boosted this is just a bad idea and demotivates any pker from skulling up since we transitioned to 345.
2. Skull Mechanics
-If a player is skulled, anyone unskulled can attack him and the unskulled player initiating the combat with the skulled player is not punished for it. This is the most ridiculous one of all.
If someone is skulled pking at edge, an unskulled pker can repeatedly spec and tab instantly to regain spec in the POH to come back and do it again. This is horribly unfair to the skulled pker as they need to freeze, get last hit and tab perfectly to go regain spec. Anyone attacking another player and initiating combat should get a skull regardless.
3. Trinkets & Sigils
-Right now it is very hard to die in w345. Without sigils or trinkets, you basically need a max rng spec to kill someone and KO potential is at an all time low. Adding the vengeance trinket is a great addition to PVP in general and even possibly the main game. This would add a ton of variety and make it much easier to get Pk's and to get Pk'd. Honestly even some of the combat sigils were super fun and created new content with new builds and sigils to try out. Maybe adding some of the less OP combat sigils as well would revive 345.
