I suggest a world or mode similar to Fresh Start worlds or Deadman mode, but specifically featuring only 2006 items and the 2006 interface. The value of party hats would return to their original rarity. This world would only be available for a week and would never return unless purchased from another player. This is my suggestion, as I believe it would offer a fun and nostalgic experience.

im pretty sure there is a RL plugin that has the 2006 interface considering this is 2nd thread you mention it, you really want it back im pretty sure there is one.

I think they'd need a 2006 backup for that which I don't think they have! OSRS exists due to a 2007 backup existing in the first place but I suppose you'd be happy to settle for a vanilla 07 server as a temporary gamemode?

Maybe despite popular opinion. Oldschool Runescape did rarers/discontinued right. They were always ment to be a fun item an originally not intended to hit astronomical Highets like they have on rs3. Plus even if they were too make this. I don't think the prices of rarers being unaffordable for most players is solely going to keep the game afloat. Another reason rares are so pricey on rs3 is the way thing fell into place. People on this said server would just horde them. People in Runescape Classic just chucked them/got banned with them left an right. Limiting the amount in game. Runescape herb farmer an farming fanatic ^_^
