Ideas for possible prayers in the future not related to ruinous powers. Mainly, I'm thinking peaceful prayers and blessings granted by more pacifist type deities. Perhaps introducing a pantheon of laborer gods, and praying to them grants skill bonuses of course. Like a Goddess of the hunt which gives some kind of boost to hunting, God of the Forge that grants bonuses to smithing, etc. Also maybe a God of freedom that grants effects to your run energy or some such thing. I also like the idea of single-use prayers that have a set cost. As in, you use it and it instantly drains your prayer by x amount to immediately grant y effect. This idea is not exclusive to these new prayer ideas, but could be added to both ruinous powers and even standard prayers. Another neat idea is instead of having active prayers for the pantheon of skill gods, maybe you have to visit a shrine to them, offer something/do a ritual, and then gain their benefits for a set amount of time or amount of tasks. The benefit and/or duration of effect could be enhanced with better offerings or performing better rituals at higher prayer levels. These should be mildly engaging but not too time consuming so that they don't detract from the skilling you wish to be doing. On the subject of prayers, I also like the idea of a new method to training that is very similar to the above. Instead of burying bones, or throwing them at an alter, My idea is Pilgrimages. It would be almost like slayer for prayer, offering a much less cost intensive way to train while traveling to the many cathedrals and alters across Runescape. This method would have low or no cost, and perhaps even a reward system, but would be much slower than bones at gilded altars so as to not effect the meta. Various religious leaders would assign you a pilgrimage, and you must travel to that church and perform a ritual to be granted prayer xp and reward points to spend on various prayer related items or perks.
