I read the new prayers today. It seams under powered and total lack of creativity.

With the exception of:
Gambit
Overprotection

Here are some completely different ideas That add mechanics rather then just changing some Stat boost...(I'm just using random number please add number that would work)

Blood ritual
While this prayer is activated it drops pools of blood under every 2 or 3 ticks or something and stays on the ground for 30-45 seconds. Much like a blood spawn in TOB. So it limits your movement during the boss fight. And if you or your team mates stand on it it will damage that person. But you will have 30% increased damage and accuracy.

Cursed healer
When you activate this prayer you sacrifice 10 hp then all monsters in a 5x5 area agro to you and you can't move. All damage taken will heal the players that are directly next to you for the damage taken to each player not divided amongst each player. But if the player using this prayer dies all players will take the damage the cursed healer took.

Unholy paralysis
For each successfully hit you have a chance of reducing monster movement speed by 2% up to stacks up to 20%

i think this is a slippery slope to add these damage boosting prayers to pvp. people are already getting 1 tick with 150 damage and koed in pvp. adding any damage boosting prayers would be overkill unless you change how high are hp can go. and if you do that its just gonna be a slipper slope and then other things may need to be added like new food. if it aint broke dont fix it.
however adding a prayer book that helps with pvm and skills sounds cool. the double overhead prayer should not be added though because it will make pvm challenges way too easy and especially undermine the challenge of the inferno. it would also undermine the countless hours people put in to get the inferno when other people could easily beat it praying range/mage at the same time.

my vote on any damage boosting prayers that can be used in pvp is a no and i think adding them and a double overhead prayer would be a huge mistake.

I was surprised to read the ruinous prayers and see we didn't have Kalphite Queen style prayers - reduce damage by 80-90% against two styles. As a PvM player, it would make total sense to me that I might want to sacrifice prayer points (in absorb style) or take chip damage if I could tank against two styles. It would come in handy against scarabites, bosses, help make the revenant caves more survivable, and even make for an interesting Fire Cape strategy.

If the prayers are just chip damage with no benefit (like no second bonus protection category) I wouldn't really want to use the ruinous powers. I'd rather see standard protection prayers in the ruinous powers than single style chip damage prayers, but if there were only Kalphite Queen style prayers in the book and you took chip damage I'd totally use the book as my default wilderness PvM setup

With issues such as power-creep and keeping the OG prayer book relevant, it's definitely a difficult task and as I predicted, there's a bit of division in the community over this.

I'm personally in two minds, I read posts like the OP's and mostly agree, but at the same time I felt similarly warm to the initial proposal in the poll blog as it kept the current prayer book relevant.

I think I definitely lean slightly towards keeping the old prayer book relevant and tbh, your suggestions do that pretty well imo :)

Hopefully the survey results will clear more things up!
