Hello to you all reading this! We are the clan
Obelus
. We are a PvM and Skilling based OSRS clan. We have a lot of people who are experienced in PvM and who enjoy skilling. We do daily PVM trips and bi-weekly skilling events. All events will be updated on this forum and all events are posted in our discord. This page will be served as a table of contents listing what we all have posted on this thread.

Clan Name Meaning

An obelus (symbol: ÷ or †, plural: obeluses or obeli) is a symbol consisting of a short horizontal line with a dot above and another dot below, and in other uses it is a symbol resembling a small dagger. In mathematics it is mainly used to represent the mathematical operation of division. It is therefore commonly called the division sign. In editing texts an obelus takes the form of a dagger mark (†) and is used as a reference mark, or to indicate that a person is dead

We are mainly a US/CANADA/EUROPE based clan

Hello! We constantly go on bossing trips and pushing members to better their accounts. We will gladly introduce you to bosses that you haven't been to before and help you learn to become comfortable with them.

We are an active clan that are constantly looking for people to come in and join. We are looking for honest and trustworthy members that are looking to have a good time.

We have an open discord policy. We post a lot of information regarding clan events/polls/SOTW info, and so much more. You will receive limited access as a guest/trialist and gain full access to channels once the trialist phase has completed and a recruit rank has been earned.

You need to APPLY to the clan in order to be added as a member of the clan. It is open to the public but still need applications to know information about you and what you are bringing to the cc!

Clan Requirements



Main Accounts & Ironmen - 2000 Total Level


We have this requirement to keep the clan chat conversations based around High level content. Once you apply, an admin will review your application. Once accepted into clan you will start your
week-long trial phase
before granted the recruit rank in the clan chat.


If you don't meet the requirements but want to hang out in the clan chat you are more than welcome to do so. You won't be able to obtain a rank until you meet the requirements.

-PVM (All bosses!)
-Minigames
-Social Interaction
-Group Discord
-Weekly Clan Events (get to vote on discord and make suggestions!)
-Just be involved!

Ranking System



Dynamic: A Competition Winner.

This rank will be provided on a temporary basis for the winner of a Skill of the Week, Boss of the Week, or some other event that is a competition within Obelus. The rank will be selected by the admin ranks depending on the event description.

Dogsbody: A Trialist Member.

This rank will be provided to a member after passing a RuneWatch search & completed application to the clan. This rank is one week within Obelus.

Recruit: A New Member.

This rank will require 1+ weeks of rank within Obelus. Must have joined Obelus Discord.

Corporal: A Friendly Member.

This rank will require at least 3+ months of rank within Obelus.

Novice: A Good Member.

This rank will require at least 6+ months of rank within Obelus.

Sergeant: A Strong Member.

This rank will require at least 9+ months of rank within Obelus.

Legacy: A Loyal Member.

This rank will require at least 12+ months of rank within Obelus and meet the clan engagement as determined by the admin ranks. This rank must also attend at least 1 clan event and maintain the minimum 2000 Total Level Req. As a perk, meeting this rank will unlock a new section of the Discord only visible for Legacy Rank + to discuss the game amongst each other.

Veteran: A Lionhearted Member.

This rank will require 24+ months of rank within Obelus and meet the clan engagement as determined by the admin ranks. This rank must also attend at least 1 clan event and maintain the minimum 2000 Total Level Req.

Lieutenant: A Respected Member.

Mandatory Requirements:

Duration - 12+ Months rank in clan
Engagement - Active within OSRS, Clan chat & Discord. Attends events. TBD/Approved by admin ranks.
Event - Creatively Host 1 successful event. "Successful" Unique event, well attended and received by attendees & admin ranks.
1 event/month max per person.
Total level - 2150
EHP + EHB (Combined) - 1250 according to TempleOSRS. (If a player has a Main account + Ironman/HCIM/UIM, up to 50% of that 2nd account's combined EHP/EHB can be counted towards this goal. Only 1 Main and 1 Ironman will count, no alts, pures, skilling accounts, etc.)
Must have:
A. Diary Cape (T) and/or B. 250 Cox KC & 50 TOB KC

Proselyte: A Revered Member.

Mandatory Requirements:

Duration - 12+ Months rank in clan
Engagement - Active within OSRS, Clan chat & Discord. Attends events. TBD/Approved by admin ranks.
Event - Creatively Host 3 successful events. "Successful" Unique event, well attended and received by attendees & admin ranks.
1 event/month max per person.
Total Level - 2277
EHP + EHB (Combined) - 1500 according to TempleOSRS. (If a player has a Main account + Ironman/HCIM/UIM, up to 50% of that 2nd account's combined EHP/EHB can be counted towards this goal. Only 1 Main and 1 Ironman will count, no alts, pures, skilling accounts, etc.)
Must have:
A. Infernal Cape and/or B. 500 Cox KC & 100 TOB KC

Captain-Silver Star: Clan Council.


Major-Silver Star with Line: Clan High Council.

Main Responsibility is to lead particular chair positions, such as Social Media, Events, & TempleOSRS

General-Gold Star: Clan Admins.


Deputy Owner-Silver Key: Clan Owners.


Owner-Gold Key: Obelus CC

Clan Rules


RULES

1. No Scamming. We have zero tolerance for item scamming. Do not ask other members for items without offering collateral.
We won't accept applications if you have been on RuneWatch. Scamming a former clan mate or RS player is an automatic ban. Before embarking on a PVM Trip, GWD/Raids, please discuss with those you are with if the loot is SPLIT or FFA. Please take screenshots for evidence.
2. No Sexism, Racism, Discrimination or Bullying of any members. We have zero tolerance for this type of behavior.
3. Any rule breaking of RuneScape will be an automatic ban from the discord and from the clan.
4. Listen to admin ranks.
5. Please keep the clan chat conversation light-hearted. No controversial topics, such as but not limited to; Drug talk, Politics, Cryptocurrencies/NFT Projects, Gambling, Staking, DMing, Account Services. Please keep these topics in personal/direct messages. No NSFW.
6. Do not bring up any drama that has happened in the past or do not create drama on purpose.
7. Be Respectful. Do not try to start fights on purpose or flame people. We like to keep the chat friendly.
8. Keep the clan chat English only. Please take other language-dominant conversations to PMs.

If you scam ANY members of the clan you will be BANNED and we will report you to RuneWatch. Members should take screenshots of loot split for evidence to RW. We have a 0 tolerance for scammers. * The clan is not responsible for any scamming/lending *
