Chambers of Xeric has been in much need of love since its release and this has become only more apparent as the game has evolved over the years, while chambers remains in a time capsule from the stone ages. Me including many others in the community, were excited to hear chambers would be getting some much-needed QOL soon. However, to my disappointment the only thing that has been mentioned is scouting. Scouting needs to be addressed far more than any other issues with the raid but if Jagex are spending the time revisiting chambers then why not address its other issues?
Challenge mode muttadile deals a ridiculous amount of damage. Why not make it so when small muta is within melee distance it is guaranteed to melee as opposed to ranging and you get stacked out for all your HP. Challenge mode tekton has an insane amount of defense and is heavily dependent on rng on whether the room is a minute or 5 minutes. The defense of tekton should either be lowered, or his defense does not reset when he returns to anvil. Scaving for supplies can be a nightmare when you need a plank drop or juice still and are 20 kills in. The first scav you kill should always guarantee 2 planks and the likelihood of you receiving a secondary you haven’t received yet should increase the drier you are on said secondary.
On the topic of scouting, Jagex has proposed a fee of 500k to create your own layout. This way players may still run unscouted/less preferable raids to avoid paying a fee however I have a better solution. Every time you complete a raid whether regular or CM, you are awarded with an untradeable currency that you can use at the board outside of chambers to pay for a raid layout of your liking. This will incentivize people to run several less preferable raids to increase their stack of untradeable currency and will reward those who choose to do so.
