Runes for Slayer staff (e)

Dear players,

Can somebody tell me if the Slayer staff (e) requires runes for the slayer dart spell?

I can't find information on the wiki about it, only that a Slayer's enchantment can be used to charge a slayer staff. But it doesn't specifie if runes ar required or if it is an built-in spell like the tridents.
