I'm quite new to OSRS, probably have a total of 1087 levels. Have only done quests. What I'm wondering is when I entered a PvP server and used my dragon sword on another player, my attack style changed from melee to unarmed, automaticly. Why? is my game bugged or?

Im holding my weapon, but the attack style goes to unarmed so Im just kicking and hitting with my hand while holding my meele weapon.

EDIT: I could attack with an oak bow and rune scimitar. Maybe i was on a pvp server that only allowed certain weapons?
