Jagex did NOT fix shooting stars. They NERFED it HARD. "Shooting stars weren't performing as we intended...so we fixed it, we buffed it"...LIES. THEY NERFED SHOOTING STARS EXP RATES 50%, NERFED SHOOTING STAR DUST RATES 25%

The numbers don't lie! I am mining right now and am getting HALF the exp in TWICE the amount of time literally AND there is TWICE as many random events and inventory spamming gems. Nobody asked for this Jagex! The older shooting stars method was better, not perfect but it WAS BETTER. JESUS IS LORD

It depends on what "buff" you are expecting. From OSRS's perspective, the "buff" was to make up for the big losses of Duke Miking nerf.

Duke Mining pre-nerf was a significant AFK method but with low xp/hr anyway. Essentially they are adding slightly more xp/hr AFK mining Shooting Stars now.

So if you think pre-nerf Duke Mining was a nerf and not a buff to the training of mining in general, perhaps you can say the new Shooting Stars change is a nerf to mining in general too.
