the title. me sitting here trying to come up with a name for my alt... shakeygoat. rejected. treesdie, rejected shakeyhands. rejected i have a ton more rejected.. are they old banned names? or is jagex going wizard101 style where anything that could possibly mean profantity is auto reject

Here's a few neat names you can currently change to (try changing your rsn on the rs-webpage, since doing it in-game might not always work (even tho the name is free-to-use):

Hey, TravelDrugL.

I'd follow what Pooer suggested above: instead of trying to use the in-game feature, use the website one, as utilizing the in-game one may not be as effective as the one on the website. To use the one one the website, click on "Account" or "My Account" at the top right corner of your screen. Then, click on "Change Character Name". You'll then be able to enter names to see if they are available.

Account or My account > Change Character Name > Check for the availability of names > Select desired name, if available .
