This isnt a new thing. We see them every time we head over to the GE to buy what we need then tele away.

I am guilty of just adding them to the ignore list and just forgetting about it.
As of late ive been reporting any that i see, and since the new year i honestly think im seeing a 3-4 accounts log into the world every 2 minutes spamming luring messages and youtube messages.

Just a wonder do these reports of these accounts actually reach the mods? i think most people just assume the auto detection will clean these accounts up, maybe if we had some clarity that a report of these accounts is vital then we would see more, and less of these scammers and hijacking accounts pop up!

When a regular player submits a report it's sent into a 'pool' of sorts and the reports are checked manually by Jagex Moderators that're apart of the team. They have thousands if not hundreds of thousands submitted daily if not hourly.

I do not think that Jagex has 24/7 surveillance & employee's. Therefore, a large amount of the workload is only conducted through working hours naturally so hours of visibility is limited.

Now, in regards to Player Moderators when they report someone they have the ability to institute a one hour mute if the situation is warranted & applicable. The report is then submitted to a 'priority pool' where Jagex Moderators will see those reports more quickly.

I've known some testimonials from several Player Moderators that have actively attempted to silence them. Despite their best efforts the bot knows that it's muted and signs out and another bot takes it's place and the cycle continues.

This is the joy and curse of that situation.

When Mod Tyran was the anti-cheating analyst, he published reports like this once in a while, but since he became an OSRS Product Analyst, there has never been a single word officially from the OSRS team regarding anti-cheating.

Actually, there was reports even reaching out the a Gaming Magazine website claiming an individual has botted for 500 bil OSRS gp and sold 400 bil of it in real life without anybody noticing it. OSRS stayed mum officially though, so don't expect any words on gambling bots.

I'm a fairly new player. That being said, the bot detection is horrible. Every world the G.E. is filled with bots that just spam gambling, AHK websites, fire cape services, and everything in-between. I've put several hundred hours into the game and to see bots just go untouched is frustrating. It ruins the game for me and I'm sure others. MANUALY BAN THE BOTS IF YOUR DETECTION SYTEM CAN NOT. It's obvious to the players they are bots, why is it not for Jagex? Makes me think some one is getting payed to over look these bots. Love the game/gameplay, but will continue to give 1 star reviews and warn those not to play/pay into this game until noticeable changes are made.

How do you even do gambling (hosting) on rs anymore, theres no RNG with those items that they used at least to my knowledge.

By the time a mod manages to see the report on the bot and decide to ban it, its instantly replaced by a new ge scam and gambling bot. The bot owner can create new bots with no issue, just do the new character restrictions and there u go a new account to trick players with with no permanent penalty for the bot owner.
