The big polls are in and the highly touted Official Account Build seemingly has failed the poll.

Seeing the other hyped update the following month - Bounty Hunter in next year's roadmap is actually just something they will reinstate from the trash bin, we may not be really looking at a "jam packed" updates next year as there seems to be a two-month content void in the first half of 2023.

What do you think OSRS will do? Who do you expect to see in March before the recycled Bounty Hunter comes back from the junkyard?

Official Account Builds aren't a necessary update. Spending dev time that would cater specifically to certain accounts, while having a less than favorable reaction from half of the players that already play like that unofficially isn't a good way to spend development. Instead, Jagex will use these months working on things more relevant to more players.

A bad idea not going forward is a good thing, not a bad one. I would much rather have 6 months of "content void" as opposed to trash updates like revenant caves being forced in, or PVP arenas without rewards, or half-baked Mage Arena 2 miniquests.

I don't intent to play any game mode and never played OSRS Bounty Hunter since at least 5 years ago so they don't bother me.

I can see plenty of players, at least 2/3 of them, will be disappointed not to have the Official Account Build which is headlining the official OSRS 2023 roadmap now.

Maybe they repoll it? Maybe they just force it again without even a repoll? Or they may finally put some small OSRS Jmod Game Jam projects there?

We'll see...

I'm not saying anyone is wrong, I'm just looking for your own point of view. Why is it a bad idea to give me the option to be able to do quests and unlock areas in the map without having to gain combat xp on a skiller account that I'm working on while gaining full access to the game that I pay monthly for.

You have full access to the game. You're the one picking arbitrary restrictions that are keeping yourself out of areas of the game.

right and there's nothing wrong with that, just like there's nothing wrong with giving paying players the option for better quality builds. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but RuneScape is an MMORPG correct? last time I checked, the RP stands for Role Playing, so no, not arbitrary restrictions. but Role Playing restriction. But what I don't understand is how having player builds like these would affect your own gameplay at all.

So just roleplay as a skiller then instead of worrying about your skill levels.

We'll be talking more about Official Account Builds in the near future."

Almost a month passed. It doesn't look good even though Official Account Builds was one of the key headline components of the 2023 OSRS Roadmap.
