POH- Friends not able to enter

Quick question, couldn't find much but old information, and friends have advised they haven't had that problem.

When a friend attempts to come in to my house when I am not there, they get a "That player is offline, or has privacy mode enabled"
If I am in the house, they can come in.

I do not see any privacy options besides locking the portal but it is unlocked.
Other friends have stated that they can enter other friends houses without them being there they believe.

So either I'm missing a setting or it's actually just people can't enter your house if you're not there.

I am having this same issue. Seems to be hit or miss. As long as I am standing in the house there is no issue at all but if I am outside my poh, my friends have to try entering repeatedly before it will allow them access. Any ideas as to why this is happeneing?
