Hey. Not sure where to post this as I haven’t been on the forums in years. Anyway, my iron got perm banned in 2021 and I appealed it last week and it got accepted today. My issue is that it’s been completely wiped and it’s not even a iron anymore? What’s the point in giving my account back if it’s the exact same as a new account?

If they handed out a ban in a situation where you were botting is the only way that I'd see them give back an rolled back account.

I'd say cut your losses and start from scratch or make a new iron account with less cheating.

My simple response would be to simply not cheat, what you're citing are deterrence measures and reading between the lines it appears that they have worked.

The point is OSRS hope you will buy membership. They need money. They did similar thing in the past and unbanned a lot of players, while putting a price tag on some banned accounts and hoped players would buy them back.

Looking at it from OSRS's angle. They are broke. They need money. They unbanned all bots and turned a blind eye and hope they will get paid to prolong the game.

They aren't asking banned OSRS players to buy back their accounts with real money now, so logically they are not letting you to keep what you gained through rule breaking.

Hi, Rusty Luke.

Skill rollbacks used to be carried out on RuneScape 3 ONLY many years ago and only the botted skills were rolled back. It hasn't happened since as Jagex stopped doing so. This has never been done on OSRS and there is no such thing on OSRS. Are you sure that you are logging into the correct account on OSRS?

You can always use the Forgotten login for assistance on locating misplaced and/or forgotten accounts.
