hey everyone, my iron man got perm muted but now im curious if the mute will ever go away in couple of months or is it really forever

A permanent mute is exactly that - permanent. Unless you appeal the mute and Jagex grants the appeal, it will not be removed.

Depending on what the mute was for you can try to appeal. I got perm muted on this acc for a misunderstanding and a joke but then got un muted.
