Hopefully more traffic comes back to the official forums i mean yeah adult content can't be posted here compared to there but hopefully that restores forums to a more sensible environment. Just wish more used the official forum.

Reddit is in shambles.
This is our only place to talk about OSRS now.
reddit is doing a 2 day blackout in protest to the new 3rd party app rules.
it was posted there and locked as a thread
Why is r/Runescape still up then? Seems like RS3 can prosper without 3rd party apps but without them r/2007scape doesn't look good... or at least not that huugggeeee!

not all sub reddits are doing it. the black out is a choice.
and other sub reddits are doing it differently than others.
such as r/pics, no one is allowed to post. so its still up to view old posts etc. but you cant post.
im assuming you dont know the situation about whats going on with the ceo of reddit and the 3rd party apps. id recommend looking it up

The RuneScape sub-reddit is still open for today's update due to the reasons below:
"
Our decision (11 June):
r/runescape will join the protest.
We will go dark for 24 hours near midnight UTC on 12th of June
. This means the subreddit will be closed all day on Tuesday. We will reopen in the early hours of Wednesday, in time for the Wisdom Wednesday recurring thread.
We'd like to protest with our users against Reddit, and not damage the common interest,
hence our decision to allow about 12 hours for discussions to take place around the max cash update
. This release is important, and a slight delay at the start of the protest lets us perform our duty of serving the wider RuneScape community.
Thank you for for your comments. See you (not) on Tuesday.

It is really great to see the common interest in RS3 is the updates players asked for. Common interest of RS3 update is worth at least 24 hours of no-blackout r/Reddit instead of 48 hours. Good to know. The RS3 community has spoken and the RS3 team has listened.
