So im training construction and it sucks and jagex should really come up with faster better methods to train this skill. Anyways im making mahog tables and i press 1 to trash it and 6 to build it, now i have a mouse with keys 1-12 along the sides i mainly use for peeking corner when playing FPS games. So i started pressing 1 and 6 on the mouse cause it has the same effect as just pressing the key. This mouse also has a 3 click button also for FPS, so my question is would this be a "tool" or "macro" of some kind worthy of a ban?

Not worth the risk really.

No one here will know for sure if it will trigger any detection. Jagex won't tell you either as it may help bot makers out.

So if you were to ask Me I'd stay well clear of it as you never know.

Rather be safe then sorry.

I always follow this phrase:

"If you have to ask if it is against the rules or not, it most likely is against the rules."

Personally, I wouldn't take the chance. You'd only know when and if you get a punishment, if any, as nobody would be able to tell you other than Jagex. Even then, they wouldn't want rule-breakers to learn more ways on how to avoid their detection system to they keep that to themselves.

I don't think that it would be breaking any rules as the number key shortcuts are built into the game already. You are just using a mouse with the assigned number to do the function instead of using the keyboard. Now if you made a program to automatically select those functions as soon as the prompt appeared that would be different but as you are still manually selecting the option you should be fine

False. The rules are just too ambiguous... and lots of disgusting shit that happens in game goes unpunished because they dont fit under the rules. The rules were made like 20 years ago and the few changes made to them were for the worse. Ill give you a few examples

On the original rules, Offensive Language was against the rules - now just "SERIOUSLY offensive language" - offensive language is ok? where is the line drawn? where are the criteria writen?

Another - Real World Trading was clearly stated as against the rules. It is now ok, or so it seems. It disapeared from the report abuse button so you can only report for "selling accounts and services", which is very ambiguous... an item is not an account nor a service (fire cape, inferno, barbarian assault, protection in revs, etc) - more, why is that "selling" restricted to real world currency? rs gold can just be converted to real cash so it should also fit under the rules - you can see gangs on revs, on BA, in GE.

Talking about GE, those spammers on GE announcing stuff that are not accounts or services, but are annoying as fk, under which rule can we report em? none I believe, because I reported hundreds and keep seeing the same nicknames

lots of chaos going on, for us its quite ok cuz we are used to this - but new players getting to ge and facing this scammers, spammers, autobots... makes anyone want to quit

IF it was simply stated as RWT, then they could say that they got no money or items, so it was not under that rule. You still report people selling gps under that rule BUT it includes things like doing a quest or killing monster or something for you. Also, under the old rules, if someone got on your account remotely, i.e. your computer still had control, but they had control of your computer remotely, that was not against the rules. They could (as an example) chop yew or mage logs for hours, resulting in you having millions of gps, but they never traded you for the money or items. Under the new rule, it is against the rules to do so.

So, you could say they are less restrict, which is true, but to say they are vague and not understandable is totally wrong.
