i have question.what if my gmail or hotmail account gets somehow preamently banned.and i dont mean getting banned in doing illegal things in game.
i literally mean my my email adress what i use to lgoin to game, getting preamently banned.
would such get my game account banned or would i still able to login in game?
i tried looking wiki and jagex support pages,but found no usefull info.

IF you lose your email account, you would not be able to receive messages from jagex unless you go onto your account and set up a new contact information.

As a security measure, when I set up my accounts, I go in and change my contact to another account. That means if I receive a message on my originally email account that says it is jagex, I know it is fake.

If Gmail or Hotmail deactivate your email, you will still be able to log into your RuneScape account.

If you have that now deactivated email set as the contact email, it will be as mastercast3r said above - you won't be able to receive messages from Jagex.
However it will cause problems if you need to manage your account settings e.g. change password, reset Authenticator, setting a new contact email.

As it is essential to maintain an accessible email as the contact (registered) email you will find you need to do a 'recovery' on your RuneScape account in order to set a different contact email.

If you decide to upgrade your RuneScape account to a Jagex Account it will become absolutely essential to maintain an accessible email as the contact email as you could lose access to your game account otherwise.

So to build on the previous excellent posts on this, I think this means you have to make a decision to perhaps even consider starting fresh so that this doesn't put you in a corner in the future.

I'm not too familiar with the inner workings of these things but I do anticipate Jagex will want to make Jagex Accounts mandatory at some point.
