I am new to bossing. I'm trying to get better at the game. Specifically, I am trying to do the Crystal Gauntlet, but I am constantly failing. I've attempted the gauntlet 30 times, and I've only succeeded twice. I am tired of working for 10 minutes, just to end up getting gobsmacked over and over and over again for virtually no reward. After hours of struggling, I have almost nothing to show for it.

Sometimes, the RNG screws me, and I don't even go in with good gear.

At this point, I just want a way to exclusively practice the boss over and over and over until I am competent. I don't want to work for 10 minutes for my next chance to fail.

Is there a way for players to exclusively practice against bosses like this, risk free?

Capt Keez,

My only advice aside from assuring you to keep trying (practice makes perfection) is to watch and read as much material on the boss as possible.

There is a lot of specific game knowledge about the mechanics or tricks/tips that some of these content creators have available in YouTube video guides. The Wiki also features some really great strategy guides.
Good vibes and high tides.

We don't have such Practice Mode for OSRS bosses, but mechanisms for all bosses are basically just prayer flickering, attack a fixed number of times, and move away from big damage but very slow attacks.

You may practice prayer flickering with some mobs like Jad. You may want to use 3PC plugins to make tile markers to where you want to run to. There isn't really anything special to practice against each boss, and perhaps that's why OSRS think Practice Mode is not important.

There may be some more tedious tick manipulation trics, like triple eat kind of crap, but they are exploits and I am not that hardcore into that.

Gauntlet is already just practice mode for Corrupted Gauntlet.

Look, there's no punishment for failing gauntlet other than the time spent. Just like any other practice boss.

You're absolutely free to walk straight into the boss room without any gear and practice your prayer switching and avoiding attacks. Master that, then do the same with weapons, balancing your attack styles and your prayer switching and avoiding other attacks.

Once you do that, approaching the boss with armor and better gear will be a piece of cake.

I strongly recommend setting up inventory and prayer book hotkeys so you can swap to them without an additional click. That faster response time can make or break a run. Good luck.

YouTube and wiki really is the way to go these days. The resources we have now pale in comparison to 15-20 years ago!

Once you've combed over that, it really does come down to practice. Don't worry though I promise it makes the rewards worth it once the RNG gods respond :)
