Why the hell is the boss for a quest annihilating me multiple times? I thought this was supposed to be engaging content. Please reduce the mechanics of the mini-boss fights it shouldn't be this frustrating.
More like preference issue, and not always skill. Some people like quests to be storytelling, some just like combat.
OSRS is mostly onto pvm now as they are making every attackable NPC that moves a boss. Unfortunately, this may not be the kind of game and quests for some traditional MMORPG players.
No this is a game issue. The quest is called desert treasure 2 but you literally get no reward at the end, except the right to keep on challenging the bosses. Why not just make them what they are, and stop preventing more casual players from having the quest cape.
Ironically the OSRS team doesn't seem to care about what the quest is called. In yesterday's livestream, Mod Ed's answer to the question why Desert Treasure 2 is about the Forestenhorn and what the Elder Horn and Forstenhorn have to do with the desert, his answer is like it is cool because RS3 have them. He can't give a reason how the horn got into desert and he even admitted it sounds weird.
The actual issue is the OSRS team just wants to patch different things up and make a "grandmaster quest". It is not about the desert, desert treasures, Mahjarrat, bosses, items, rewards or they want RS3 content in OSRS alone, but pretty much they just want to put small patches of different things together and make a bigger piece of content.
They could have skipped all the boss fights and combat with their minions and leave them outside the quest, as there is actually no reason why we want to kill Zarosian before we even get to know them anyway, but that would make DT2 a pretty small quest and probably not what they want.
