Reset skills OSRS

I was on my main account, which is also a pure, and I had come back to OSRS after a very long time. Last night was my first time completing Monkey Madness. I saw that I could choose to get hitpoints and strength XP, but it also gave me XP for other skills. Such as Defense. I am (was?) a 1 Defense pure. Is there anything I can do to make my Defense level 1 again? I really don't feel like starting a new account from scratch, and I've already worked pretty hard on the account that I have now. Is there ANY way to remedy this situation without restarting?
I think most people leaving the game because of this problem.

Too bad OSRS is not flexibilbe as RS3 at all. This is the RS3 forum, there are plenty of things we have in RS3 but not the very primitive OSRS. Perhaps you can make suggestions in the OSRS forum, and hope it may get added eventually, maybe years later.
