Anyone find it odd that we can't make bows from certain logs like Mahogany, Teak, Blisterwood and Redwood?
Was thinking with the upcoming sailing updates they could add in islands where you learn to use these woods.
Redwood - essentially an upgrade of MSB
Blisterwood - A range variant of the blisterwood flail that would fire silver arrows (made the same way but just adding in silver bolt tips) would allow vyres, could also be used to make a xbow stock like others with limbs as a rare drop from some new monster in the sailing islands and become the vampire hunter xbow which would be a best in slot range wep for any vampire creature
teak and mahogany could be an upgraded version of the redwood bow but only in jungle areas and mahogany equivilant to msb outside of these areas and teak the same as maple or yew - potentially gold arrows have a bonus in these areas too.
Thought this could have some interesting uses in sailing, make smithing and fletching have more utility again whilst also making sense as all other logs and ores you can make the same stuff basically all other ores and logs in the game so why not these?
Just an idea and not fully fleshed out yet but give a post on what you think of it and anyways to improve
