I was flipping through the cosmetic sets earlier today, when it dawned on me that there's a type of outfit that's popular in video games, but that RuneScape curiously lacks; martial artist outfits. Whether it's in the style of Karate, Judo, or some other similar sport, the "gi" is an instantly iconic style of outfit.

While the World Guardian might not exactly know any type of fancy martial arts, I think the outfit would be an excellent addition to Solomon's/the Marketplace. Being able to re-colour the outfit would also be great; I know white "gi" is the classic look, but there's plenty of coloured versions out there too.

This outfit would include the "gi" top and bottom, as well as a headband ribbon in the head slot, some Muay Thai-style hand ropes in the hand slot, and some sort of protective sandals for the feet slot. It could come with some sort of ki-based fireball main- and off-hand Ranged weapons, assuming Jagex doesn't think that would be too "video game-y"; I don't really care if they're part of it or not, just wanted to throw that out there since ki-based projectiles are a whole martial arts "trope" in fiction and some people might want them.

I suppose the "Wushanko Warrior Resting" animation is pretty much the closest thing to fancy martial arts that we currently have. :P
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

I suppose the "Wushanko Warrior Resting" animation is pretty much the closest thing to fancy martial arts that we currently have. :P

I actually had completely forgotten about that! I guess it could be called the "Wushanko Warrior" outfit; it could certainly fit that rest animation like a glove.

With the semi-recent addition of combat ability overrides, I think there's some potential for this outfit pack to come with some new martial-arts-themed melee ability overrides:

- "Spinning Kick" Flurry (a series of spinning kicks)
- "Ki Channeling" Berserk (stomping the ground with one leg as energy erupts around you)
- "Straight Blast" Frenzy (a series of rapid punch-like strikes inspired by Jeet Kuan Do's "straight blast" )
- "Flip Kick" Massacre (a upward kick with enough momentum to cause the user to do a flip before landing on their feet)
- "Diving Kick" Bladed Dive (a jump that ends with driving one foot into the ground)
- "Dragon Punch" Overpower (a jumping, spinning uppercut after bending down to "wind up" )
