......I think this only your

account at this styled Rune Coin bundled thing, Jagex.
But the issue has been repeated again.

NEW. 2018, 3rd time doing this.
"Players purchasing RuneCoin bundles from the 21st May will receive Cherry Blossom items.

Four items will be available via these bundles a Parasol, Balloon, Lantern and the Cherry Tree Resting animation, these items are available until the 3rd June and can be purchased with RuneCoins"

That lantern is a rather unique item... but again not-in Customization Interface to check ahead of time. :@


I observed it first during the Tree-Wing TH promo, the RC purchase = outfit unlock.
The cob web/ spider/ Beetlejuice- esque outfit, parasol and spider pet.

I am not entirely opposed to it. ^_^

:@ However, aside from that instance.
Nearly all* items(outfit pieces, animations, pets) that are in the Customization Interface,
are able to be previewed within the CI.

I would like a decent response to why the Shadow Gorilla outfit can't be previewed.

I hope its not like the below...

I could preview my strange Premium Membership pack Lion-Dog thing and
Pay-Pal edition
Samurai Armour, before I committed.

I kind wish I could have previewed the spider-pack, I only saw the rather acrobatic web teleport once ingame, it was a bit snazzy. Oh well, might've been compelled to acquire it. I'm wondering if the Shadow Gorilla outfit has a weapon, the dragon outfits best piece imho was its Lance.

I agree with Bearclaw because I like to preview how it looks with the skin I have, with certian other items I like to wear and see if things have a good match.

I actually like this kind of promo, Just no idea why we cant look at it before we buy it
especially dealing out 50 usd at one time.

I have never ever paid 50 dollars for a surprise package... The spider outfit.. I wanted the spider
pet, the outfit didnt matter so much to me. This time I care because ehhhh. Rarely use the
Shadow dagoon outfit. The richest person is not who has the most. It is who Needs the least.

Draco you can ,just why cant they do this like they do all the other outfits. If they really wanted to show off a Great piece of content. And let us put it on with OUR preferred skin, our other Preferred weapon overrides, capes, etc, WE would have a better idea of how it would look and if we would really use it.


Im getting the outfit, no doubt, But it would be nice to see how it would look with other items I have. Looking at it on other sites just gives me an idea of how it looks, not how its going to
go with my other overrides that i use daily. The richest person is not who has the most. It is who Needs the least.

I mean Draco, Just seems like If they really wanted to SHOW OFF and be proud of a Great piece of content they would want everyone to see it.

What is their reasoning behind the fact they are not showing it to us? Are they themselves

2 reasons:

1. Like Lady explains above, you don't know how well the outfit looks with the rest of your setup until you preview it (before or after purchase) in-game.

2. Graphics settings; what you see on the wikia, reddit etc, might not be how the outfit actually looks for you. Just to give you an example, here's the wikia image of refined anima core of Seren:



And here's how it actually looks like for me in-game:



Most notably, the wikia image has bloom turned off whereas I have turned it on, and it changes the glowing bits from being swallowed by the rest of the outfit to standing out in a cool way (IMO).

Images taken by other people give a rough estimate of what to expect, but to get the accurate result that you actually see yourself, which is what I imagine the reason why most people buy their outfits, you have to put it on your personal setup first.

Albeit, I'm not really a fan of them shifting from membership card promo items to runecoin promo items. It makes gold mem packages more of a gamble since you don't know if most of the cool promo items for the year will be released via membership cards or runecoin packages :|
