Hey there,

Im just wondering what happened to the option to choose between loyalty points or buying stuff with runecoins?
In the past there used to be this option so alot more stuff would be available to all players.

As an example, the hell's point female hairstyle
It has the loyalty points option to buy it with but at the runecoins option it says "/".

Why can't you guys just make it obtainable trough runecoins aswell?

Its just a little example but it's a shame to lose out on some cosmetic stuff just because of that.

It got changed forever ago when they merged solomons with the loyalty store.

So now only auras and a select few items can be bought with LP while everything else is rc.

Considering jagex dont make money off ppl using LP, it only makes sense to use rc.

I'd be happy to spend some runecoins on it, but its only loyalty points unfortunally.

Wich then again doesnt make sence cause the male hairstyle version of it, is buyable trough runecoins, but female isnt.. It makes no sense at all

Nothings buyable with both.

Forgot the reason for this but you only have 1 payment option now.

There was an update in May 2016 that made each item available only with either RuneCoins or Loyalty Points, rather than a choice of either of the currencies

I have been unable to locate the announcement for the change. However, as best as I can recall, it was to increase the perceived value of Loyalty Points and the items purchased with them. If you'd saved up your LP for a year or more to buy something to show off your loyalty, having the new player next to you be able to buy the same thing with RC devalued those loyalty rewards.

Understandable for sure!

But the thing that keeps me going is basicly as mentioned before.
Im really focused on this particular hairstyle..

I find it a bit unfair that male characters can buy this specific hairstyle , while female's cant unless they have loyalty points.

In my opinion this is very weird..
Either make them both on loyalty points or both on runecoins then.
But as it is now it's kinda discriminating based on gender.

Jagex can make them which ever payment they want and trying to bring it being "discriminatory" into this isnt needed.

If you think it is then try taking jagex to court on it and see how far you get.

At the end of the day its their game and they can do w/e they want to it.

Plus its not like its that hard to get LP as you choose to be w/o them by being f2p.

So if you really wanted it youd get those LP.

Alright , i guess this is pointless.

I wanted to try and get in touch with some Jmod and was hoping for a reasonable answer.

After all I still find it unfair that male versions can get this hairstyle while female characters are forced to get membership in order to get the same one.
