Welcome to Valence


Welcome to Valence! We are a social clan that strives to create a friendly atmosphere, allowing clan members and guests to relax and socialise. Valence began primarily as a Dungeoneering focussed clan, and has since evolved enabling us to offer a more diverse environment. We have no requirements and nothing is mandatory, so whether you’re a skiller, PvMer or love bankstanding, you’ll find your place here. Events are held frequently, and include bossing, PvM learning sessions, minigames, skilling events and much more. The clan will help you as much as possible throughout your Runescape journey, and looks forward to welcoming you to Valence!

Clan Ranking System


Our ranking system is based on the number of clan points you’ve gained since joining the clan. Ranks above general are obtained by possessing qualities that benefit the growth and stability of the clan, such as helpfulness, commitment and involvement.

Recruit – 0 clan points


Corporal – 15 clan points


Sergeant – 100 clan points


Lieutenant – 250 clan points + a combination of 10 events/recruits


Captain – 500 clan points + a combination of 25 events/recruits


General – 1000 clan points + a combination of 50 events/recruits


You can earn clan points by doing the following things:
1. Recruiting a new member to the clan: 6 clan points
2. Attending a clan event: 4 clan points
3. Capping at the citadel: 3 clan points
4. Every 1m clan xp you gain is equal to 1 clan point
5. Every 10m gp donated to the clan (which goes towards funding events and competition prizes) awards you with one clan point. After donating the first 10m gp you get a one-off 10 point bonus

Each account is treated separately i.e. if you have multiple accounts within the clan, its rank will be dependent on its own number of clan points. Your role within the discord server will reflect your rank within the clan.

As a clan member, joining the Clan Discord Server is recommended, since it has a ton of useful features, including but not limited to:
- Clan announcements
- Event announcements
- Rank promotions
- A place to introduce yourself and tell us a little bit more about you
- Self-assignable tags to be reminded of certain activities both in-game and outside of the game.
- Channels to chat, share your memes, your pet pictures, and achievements in
- A PvM section that contains guides, drop logs, and a place to get PvM teaching sessions
- And much more!

If you're not a clan member, you are more than welcome to guest in the server as well.

Rules


Valence is quite lenient and laid-back, but there are a few rules that we want you to abide by.

- Be respectful to your fellow clan members

- Keep issues and quarrels out of the CC and Discord server. Sort it out through DM, or contact an Admin+ to help you out

- Discrimination, racism, bullying, or other forms of harrassment will not be tolerated

- Scamming, hacking, botting, and spamming are not allowed

- We don't mind the occasional swear word. We're all mature. Just know your limits

- No PKing your fellow clan members

Admin

An Admin is responsible for ensuring a positive atmosphere in the CC and the Discord server. They’re also there to help clan members out with any questions they may have about RS or the clan. Furthermore, they promote events and other clan features to clan members. In other words, if you need any help whatsoever, contact an Admin! This is one of the ranks that you can apply for to start out in the Valence Team.

Organiser

An Organiser is mainly responsible for hosting events. Their role overlaps a lot with those of the Admins, but the main focus of their role is making sure an adequate number of events are hosted consistently. If you have any event-related questions, these are the people that will be able to help you out! This is one of the ranks that you can apply for to start out in the Valence Team.

Coordinator

A Coordinator is one step above the Admin and Organiser ranks. They keep the oversight of everything event-related. They coordinate the events that are hosted, and work closely together with the Organisers to come up with exciting and fresh ideas, and aid them where necessary. They are experienced with both the Admin and Organiser expectations, and are expected to be involved with the daily ongoings of the clan, becoming part of Clan Management.

Overseer

Becoming an Overseer is a big step. They’re part of the Clan Leadership, and are highly involved with clan changes, optimisations, and discussions. Having been a coordinator is an important stepping stone towards becoming an Overseer since the clan is so event-oriented. However, an Overseer shifts its focus more towards the responsibility over the Admins. Overseers also gain access to the Clan Bank, called Valence GP in-game.

(Deputy) Owner

Ultimately responsible for everything that happens in the clan, and able to run the clan in the case of absence of other owners or management ranks. Though being generally responsible, each of the Owners takes personal responsibility for certain parts of the clan. For example, currently Julian is responsible for the clan’s finances, Discord server, and the Admins. Sarah for everything event-related. And Luke for the Discord Bots and PvM section of the clan/Discord.
