Statement from the founding Clan Members

Membership is a Privilege not a Right

It was through our disenchantment with our former clans that we moved forward with creating, realizing goals and trying to maintain our own clan.
We founded Legacy of Valour with our focus that the clan will a place that is a pleasant, helpful, relaxing, community while gaming in Runescape.

We expect all of our members to carry on with our founding principles, ethics and fortitude in hope that you will find our clan and your gaming experience fulfilling.

We extend to you a warm welcome of fun, chaos and insanity to our Runescape home and family.

Should you have the need to be gone for an extended period of time please let higher ranked know - try to get in touch with me or a Deputy Owner first.

Our clan is small and we either work, go to school or take care of family - because we are so small we may not be in chat; but you can always leave a message on this forum thread and we do check on it from time to time.....

If you are askilling enthusiast or die hard PvM combat junkie; there is a place for you.
There is the opportunity to advance in this clan - to help grow it from infancy into a well respected, wonderful, international drama free clan.

We are looking for those that would like to lead Boss raids; players that want to teach others combat; slaying; hosting events of all types

There are other players in other clans that have helped to direct the start up of this clan should they choose to join they will be promoted accordingly; they are friends that have influenced many decisions and guided me in this Journey.

Clan Benefits:

As we become Established - clan events will be based on
Skilling - Questing - Combat - D & D’s - Mini games…….
In game player assist - gilded altars / effigy assist
In game socialization
Will push us forward through action not words and offering a well rounded foundation of player based event hosting. That will become a mainstay.

Clan Requirements:

As we grow - there will be a need to change requirements - especially if the quality of recruits comes into question.
- Right now we are accepting players from P2P / F2P
- Total levels of at least 300
- Citadel - visiting is required /resource gathering is not required but greatly appreciated as our goal is a T7 Citadel with the Grand Statues as part of our goal.
- The time being we are going to allow all types of player accounts; should we feel or see that this is abused by players with main accounts in other clans we will close down the ability to have Ironman / Hardcore / OSRS accounts in the clan.

In other words if you have an aforementioned account and you want it in this clan = your main account needs to be in this clan.

We will be keeping an eye open to see if Requirements should change and change accordingly to ensure a great fit for all players not just a select few.

Rules:

Yes we have rules - There is a Zero Tolerance Policy on Rule Breaking

As founding members we have seen so many things go on in clans and we do not want the reason we left our clans to follow us into this Start up Clan; so at the beginning you will know

EXACTLY

what we expect from you.

Abiding by ALL Jagex Rules In-Game and Forum

Written and/or Implies will be up-held at all times.

This includes the direct and intentional act or chat that alludes to the intentional participation, thought or bragging about such rule breaking such as: luring, hacking, scamming, botting, trust game participation, gambling in the chat,in public chat or in game.
These unacceptable actions/chat alone will result in your immediate expulsion from the clan and permanently added to the Clan Ban list.

What we mean by this - many of us have been around RS for 10+ yrs. and we seen many rules change throughout those years so we are going to break it down for you.
Every single Rule that Jagex had from 00:00 at start up till today and hence forward are in place.

Offensive Cultural comments; racism; political & religious discussions / intolerance ; and real life topics of Radical Ideology; harassment; human trafficking; threats implied or openly discussed; bullying are

This rule is in place as breaking these rules

leads to breaking Jagex Game / Forum Rules.

Clan Chat

Keep it Clean - in the clan and public chats = NO vile, lewd vulgarity or profanity.

We all slip up once in a while - it is the constant and incessant vulgarity chat that causes stress, tension and drama. Most of us come onto RS to unwind and we will keep it that way.

If your comments and attitude are

NSW

then don’t bring into the clan, clan chat or in game.

From time to time we will have PMods / FMods in the Clan Chat they are welcomed in this chat and clan and I expect everyone to be respectful.
Every once in a Blue Moon Jagex Moderators in the past would hop into a clan chat….
This does not happen often and respect will be afforded them at all times.

Respect

So many times the lack of respect in general causes the breakdown of a clan. By bringing drama into the clan chat you are disrespecting everyone.
This includes making snide, snarky, sarcastic comments about your previous clan or this clan while you are a member to anyone. WE all have had bad experiences with former clans that does not give you the right to make derogatory comments about your former clan.
What you do to one clan you will do to another.

Should you choose to speak ill of us while you are in our clan you will be removed.

You are NOT going to get along with everyone 100% of the time and in fact - there will be someone that you just cannot stand for some reason. It’s okay - we are all human.

But you do have to be respectful to everyone 100% of the time.

Respect cont.........

We know that issues will occur and we have a contingency for that as well.
Should something arise, your first step is to to work it out in PM and be respectful of each other.

DO NOT

type to respond defensively….really take the time to try to understand what the other person is telling you; when you respond after looking at the other side you will find that you both are wrong.
If you have been wrongly accused of any violation of clan /Jagex rules then message one of the owners or High Ranking Staff so we can sort through it.

That said - arguing with anyone in the clan / public chat or the forums is unacceptable. More-overly when you smear someone's reputation in the game or RL; the consequences of such will be swift and severe.

Should drama persist between 2 specific parties - We will take a hard look at the both of you; discuss what each of us has seen; ask other clanmates what they have witnessed to discover if your issues were brought into clan chat or general populace of RS.
This can and will lead to 1 or both of you being removed.

NO

issues will be addressed in the clan chat, on the thread or in any other method that can be viewed by anyone in the clan or in RS public.
There is but

ONE exception

to this rule by Clan Leaders for the SOLE expressed purpose to maintain order; to correct a situation that was handled inappropriately or to educate others of updates, rules and policies.

Should you witness any violation of the rules; harassment; complaints about the clan by a clan member your concerns should be brought to the attention of Staff using PM to start an investigation/resolution process.

Respect & Integrity:

All clan members will remain honest at all times - any type of lie will not be tolerated.

If you are willing to lie about the little things this means you cannot be trusted with anything.
Lying about anything in game - relating to game activity will result in your removal from the clan.

The only thing outright anyone has is their reputation; once tarnished, it tarnishes the clan.

Be Patient, Kind, Respectful and Humble. When you resort to putting others down = bullying, you are disruptive, you ridicule, are boastful, or belligerent towards each other in the Clan or the RS Community you are NOT Respectful and bring drama where it is not wanted or needed.

All clan members are expected to be supportive in each others goals and endeavors.

Be mindful of your words and action as what you put out to others is what you will receive from others…...be it positive, negative or indifferent.

Equality:

ALL clanmates are treated equally.

Ones status in the clan is recognized based on the deed of the member not their rank.

There is a difference between the two.

ALL members from the Recruit rank to anything below Overseer; with the exception of the founders have the same opportunities to gain rank.

Ranking is based on hosting events, suggesting ideas that the clan forward in a positive direction; XP Gain and quality of the Recruits that commit to the clan.

Family Values:

We strive to maintain a family type atmosphere with the clan for our members and their family.

In this thought we encourage you to invite family members into the clan chat and see who we are; your family like the rest of the clan will be treated with respect; we only ask that they are respectful in turn.

At times a few of us can be a bit sarcastic at our own shortcomings and you can have fun without the use of profanity or being belligerent.

Ranking System

Ranks will be done on Sunday Evening CTZ before Mondays Build Tick - on occasion it can be handed out at any time.

Ranking will be based on the players activity, friendly attitude, willingness to help, mentoring others in clan and in RS in general.
Bumping the recruitment thread once per day,
Quality Recruiting.

Harassing - Begging - Demanding for a Rank up will result in a demotion - Ranks are earned.

Anyone caught abusing their Ranked position or power tripping in the clan will be demoted immediately until a complete investigation is concluded and a resolution found.

Growing Pains - Changes - Updates:

Every single Clan has growing pains - we expect no less with this clan.

From time to time there will be a need to revisit rules, requirements and expectations.
The update post is on page 2 - First Thread will show what changes were made and what posts were updated to reflect those changes.

These updates will be done in alternating bright colors; with the date and will hold that color in post for 2 weeks

So when you bump the thread take the opportunity to see if there are changes.

The character /avatar that you created is yours alone. No one has the right to pressure, harass, bully you into anything in or out of the game including but not limited to the Jagex and Clan Rules.

You alone are responsible for your account - take responsibility for your own actions.

NO ONE

can make you do anything that you are not already considering or willing to do.
What each of us does in the game or forums is a direct reflection on yourself as well as the clan; this will also affect positively / negatively how Clan Owers and the entire clan treat you. Your actions in game have consequences; are you prepared to face those consequences should your actions warrant it?
