Jagex has a failing approach to this game and how to make it become mainstream, you need some super OP items at the end game to keep people enticed, a goal to work towards, because as it stands now, there is no possible way you can tell me that watching Youtubers for countless 12 hour streams grinding and never getting anything is fun, it isn't fun, it's extremely boring watching that and even more boring if you're the one actually grinding it.

If you had some weapons like FSoA and BOLG that were super versions of themselves effectively making end game mode easy mode, or some armor like Cryptbloom and Animate Undead but on steroids, this would give everyone a goal to work towards, it would honestly be fantastic, it would certainly keep me buying membership.

But currently how it stands, the money required for membership, the long hours spent playing with virtually no drops, I've been playing years with virtually no good drops, I get the odd one but that isn't good enough in my opinion considering the vast amount of upgrades which are increasing in price every single day, I could literally play this game until I'm 60 and still not be done, that's another 30 years of grinding, it's crazy, as well as new upgrades added into the game, whilst also juggling with bank spaces as new items are constantly added into the game without the proper bank space to store them trying to push people into spending bonds on bank boosters, the fact that when new items/abilities do come out, they get nerfed, with all this in mind, I have made the decision to quit.

I do believe this was a good game, there is a lot of content to offer, but due to the grind which renders 99% of content extremely boring as well as the other things listed above, weighing my options, I do believe there is a better way to spend my time and my money so it is with a sad heart that I must say goodbye to Runescape once and for all, the childhood game I grew up with is now dead to me, good luck everyone, take care!!

It is an open world where you can choose to do many things. Ive played 20 plus years and i havent gotten to what is now "end game" combat.

Main thing in any game, is to have fun and enjoy yourself. You shouldnt worry about the things you dont have, or things you cant do.

Just have fun and dont worry about everything.. cause there is too much to worry about.

Just find something you like doing and do it. My favourite activity in RuneScape is doing quests, so I usually only come back every now and then when they release a new one, grind a bit if I don't match some skill requirement, then leave. No need to force yourself to grind for endgame content, the only reason I've ever tried bossing was to do The Curse of Black Stone and Aftermath.

The game has always grown from word of mouth, this happened from RuneScape creating a very environmentally friendly community game but for whatever reason the new Jagex team has been ANTI community and has tried to covert this game into a solo environment.

To top it off Jagex has been extremely harsh towards the millions of past players they've had by not supporting PVP, minigames and deleting the notorious dual arena and Wilderness, who in the world would tell any of their friends to play RuneScape when it's super 1 dimensional now?

But yes you're correct, the only reason why RS3 is still alive is because of fake hype the company creates and the masses of players RS2 and OSRS Jagex actually used to have enjoy their game, the amount of players who actually LOVE or LIKE rs3 is very small, like extremely small.
Always think creatively, and you shall be creative.

You're playing the game wrong, and anyone else watching YouTubers and paying attention to others .

Can people just.. play games for fun anymore? As with any MMORPG or progression-based game, fun goes out the window if you start over-thinking things and comparing your progress to others who could be exploiting or special-flagged for success on the backend for all you know. Just play the game lol

When you find nonsense like this to be ranting about, it may also be time to find a new game to play. RS is a grind based on RNG; not liking either of those two points is not liking majority of the game. You have to like progress regardless of how slow it is, and accept that RNG doesn't care about you directly (in most cases; apparently there's "bad luck mitigation" in some cases :p ) I've heard all sorts of wild lucky RNG like that person that got the OSRS Agility pet with a single lap at level 1 :p Meanwhile I've done Pollnivneach over 500 times and don't have a pet, or any skilling pet around 1500 total level.

Lol also a list of things I couldn't care-less about.

I care nothing about PVP except not engaging in it when possible.

The only minigame issue I have is Pest Control not being played on RS3 except on-spotlight. THat's my favorite minigame and I can play it any time of day any day on OSRS any boat. I'd wish PC on RS3 would be single-player or filled with bots just so I can play it when I want.

Dual arena is kind of ironic :p But apparently people engaging in RWT also have gambling issues which were causing chargebacks and having banks send heat at Jagex. I stayed away from that community by-choice and have no problem with it being gone.

RS3 is actually cared about, regardless of the OS RWT-driven dribble. Of course OS players have an active interest in you playing their game when RWT is profitable :p That's literally the only reason that game is so popular, because it certainly isn't gameplay quality compared to RS3. "Boo EoC bad just-because" is common on Reddit and Steam, as if that means anything.
