Hey folks,

I'm SoggyQuiches. I've been playing Runescape since I was a kid as many of you.

At the start of the pandemic I didn't know where to turn. Shit was going down. I had a friend mention that he made a new guy in OSRS and that I should join him. I needed nostalgia and something constant.

Thousands of hours later, I've been completely entrenched in the grind. Pets, collection log slots, bossing, you name it, I'm down (except raids still I'm not the best main). I've joined a small group of folks who play bingo occasionally & share our triumphs through discord & clan chat.

I was banned for RWT on 12.2.22. I was and am stunned by this decision.

Firstly, I believe that no permanent bans should be handed down with 0 evidence.

Secondly, the only wealth that has ever been transferred from my account via trading has been to other guild members. I have never personally benefited from any of these loans, and they have all been done with trust & the expectation that I'd get the items back.

Thirdly, the inability to contact Jagex support with this type of ban is wrong. Any posts to Twitter as I was recommended to do get met with folks trying to scam me since the official Jagexsupport twitter will not reply. All posts to reddit get deleted.

I was unable to collect on my loans. I was banned for RWT on 12.2.22 with no explanation.

Please look into my loans, along with my chat history proving I never participated in RWT, nor have ever had any interest in doing so. This is egregious and truly disappointing. All my time in this game has been genuine, and this ban has been in error.

Please would a moderator or somebody please take a look at this? I'm out of options and am truly devastated.

they do have evidence but they wont show you, that isnt needed for you to know, imagine if they gave a person every single piece of evidence they had to ban an account (an account that jagex own mind you). and this person is heavily involved in rwt, now he has information on what got this account caught. that information is literal gold for rwters to bypass what caught them

they didnt ban you willy nilly. especially with rwt ban a perm rwt ban takes a very long time to go through, as its not appealable they dont hand them out with out a thorough check.

well you got loans from people. if these people are involved in rwt, (which again they wont give you that evidence) it would definitely look like you are involved in that circle.

your chat history isnt really any proof at all. you could have spoken to people to rwt using discord / whatsapp etc to talk, or hell talking on the phone!! (who does that anymore)

"with no explanation" yes there was the explanation was rwt.

you also cant appeal bans on the forums. so asking a mod to look into it wont help this is not the way to look into bans there are routes purposely for looking into bans forums is not one of them

That's the issue. I didn't real world trade, and my account was banned. I never took loans from folks, I only loaned close guildmembers and nobody I loaned to has been banned.

The fact that I can't speak with a MOD or get any kind of information after putting so much time into this game is the frustrating part.

Folks come in and white knight like 'yeah you did it you got banned' but I never real world traded and you have nothing to base your argument on. You even linked the page that twitter support links that does nothing for major bans.

Frustrating beyond belief, nobody is helping.

okay you didnt take loans you gave out loans, the point i was making stays the same.

If this is ultimately about Bingo, can't they just put that in the game?

I guess there is some reason they couldn't or wouldn't, but it's beyond my comprehension.

Edit: I should probably point out that where I come from, Bingo is generally hosted by carnivals, churches, fire departments, amusement parks, etc. They all endorse it, so that's good enough for me.

RWT is a cause of action, it is not an "explanation". OP should be given written, logical reasons based on facts. Given what is at stake for OP, he should be provided with with (i) at least some evidence Jagex has, redacted if necessary, and/or (ii) a special counsel from Jagex to relay the gist of the evidence against him. The special counsel should represent the OP and forward the OP's arguments to the decision maker. OP should have an opportunity to adequately meet the case against him. Being a max'd long time subscriber of Runescape, OP is entitled to some fairness in this matter.

that would be a terrible idea. to give people banned for rwt, the reasons they got banned. this would be (as stated already) the stuff people will need to help them not be detected.
so 100% no way should this happen. im pretty sure you dont support rwt. soo you wouldnt want the information that caught the rwters

I will definitely say harm can be done in this regard, because I received a warning for RWT. I most certainly did not do that.

So it's on me to understand which action I am forbidden from doing. TBH I'm not built for that, every day I am worried that some action I took will be mis-interpreted and I won't even get to explain the truth.

I laid out anything I could remember that was unusual or could be considered suspicious. Even at that, I may have missed the mark completely. Because I didn't do anything wrong. If they think I did anything at all, it was taken out of context.

From my POV if it's such a big problem they should patch it, at least temporarily. Remove free trade between players. Why not? GE exists in both games. Max cash update coming to RS3. PVP doesn't need high stakes. For any reason.

Sorry but you can't use the Forums to appeal a RWT ban.

You say there was no evidence provided. Thats correct Jagex will not tell you how they dealt with it as giving evidence could help people bypass this and RWT more.

As for a contact method to Jagex about these RWT bans has never been a thing. Jagex have enough evidence in hand and felt the ban was needed. Nothing at all you can do or anything anyone here can do to assist you.

I've locked this as you seem to be using the Rants forum to appeal this offence.
