I've been trying for at least 10-12 hours now to get the penance queen as a boss to kill in endurance, but she's just not showing up? I don't even think she's showing up on the roll when it's flicking through selecting one for you.

Is there any way to try and push her out? I've got to f50+ multiple time in endurance.

the randomness of this content is why i do not play it. it actually is easier to grind dom tower the FEWER quests you have done. which is ridiculous. at least you can reset each time and hope you get her the first round on endurance. other than that just RNG and thoughtful update, careful doing more quests you might make it even harder to get her Buy Zemomarks / Chromatic Partyhats safely here

I was digging through the archives and folks say the best way is to do the climber mode instead of endurance. You can bank every round and just bail if you find a boss you don't like. (since you have been doing endurance anyways that doesn't seem to be an issue)

They say if you have all the random nerfs activated Penance Queen comes up often. She only appears after the 5th kill, I think that applies in both modes.

I remember when I was doing this years ago, I always did climber mode and had no real problem finding the queen.

Yes. I am having trouble because there are a few bosses I simply can't get past, and some that take an awful lot of time. If I had known about this earlier, I would have stayed away from those quests, and only done quests with easy and quick bosses. It is an activity you can screw up badly, based on how you played in the past, and it doesn't seem like the most clever game design to me, because the damage is permanent. Also, if you do know about it ahead of time, and stay away from those quests, then the result is that you will probably never do those quests, which again is bad game design (making content we deliberately stay away from because it damages other content).

I think a solution could be to let the players select themselves which quests they want to have included in the list, still with the minimum number of quests required of course.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
