The moderators in this forum have locked every thread which even mentions LGBTQ "pride". Why?

The rainbow symbol (which the LGBTQ movement has adopted) is offensive to me as I am a devout follower of Islam. Islam expressly forbids this sort of behaviour and thinking.

Potential solutions: I think there should be a toggle option to remove rainbows and LGBTQ political content from the screens of Islamic players. Perhaps some LGBTQ worlds should be implemented, leaving all other worlds free of LGBTQ political propaganda content.

I am weary of allowing my son to try this game because the LGBTQ propaganda content might undermine my attempts to impart to him Allah's teachings which encourage a life devoid of sin and instead filled with honour.

It has been difficult for me as an immigrant in the Western world to integrate when spaces which I believed were tolerant (such as Runescape) force LGBTQ propaganda onto my screen.

I find the behaviour of the moderators and other posters on this forum have been, perhaps inadvertently, intolerant of my beliefs. Nonetheless, I would like a Jagex staff member to clarify the company's views toward Islam given the unfortunate incidence of moderators promoting intolerance.

Regardless of where you are in the world, RS is on the internet, and that's a space that knows no boundaries - unless a government of a particular country blocks RS.

With this in mind, the Jagex policy is to not let real life politics or religion to enter into RS. There are simply too many ideologies and mindsets at odds with each other, and nobody would be happy with anything.

Jagex are a UK based company, and with that will come some events that may be celebrated in the UK. One of these events, as you know, is Pride. Pride is an event that promotes inclusivity and acceptance. It has got nothing to do with pushing LGBTQ+ agenda.

I understand your point that this may still be at odds with your religion. However, what is Jagex supposed to do? Ditching the Pride event will make one group of players unhappy, whilst making you happy. Sticking with the Pride event will make you unhappy, but make the other group happy.

Based on this feedback, I'm intrigued as to what you believe makes your belief more important than the other groups beliefs?

You are incorrectly framing the issue. Typical of an anti-Islamic LGTBQ propagandist.

There is currently LGBTQ content. There is no Islamic content. Further, nobody is asking for Islamic content.

Therefore, the question is why is LGBTQ propaganda more important than Islamic beliefs? There should be no political content. If, as you said, Jagex's policy is to "to not let real life politics or religion to enter into RS", then why is Jagex promoting LGBTQ propaganda which is offensive to me, a Muslim? Clearly LGBTQ propaganda is more important to Jagex than its Muslim player base. There should not be any political or religious content which is offensive.

Islam is a religion.

Pride is an event.

Religions are not allowed.

Events are allowed.

I don't see how I'm incorrectly framing anything here. You are the one saying Pride is LGBTQ+, not me. You are the one that's saying it's political when it's not.

I implore you to go away and research Pride in more detail. It's not what you think it is, based on the words you've used in this thread so far.

Pride LGBTQ is political, obviously. Virtually all identity issues are political issues as of late, hence the popular term "identity politics".

Further, LGBTQ pride propaganda is a form of anti-Islamic messaging and is therefore a religious issue.

If you are going to play dumb, do not waste my time on this thread. Thanks.

A few items related to the locking of this thread:

First, you are expressing an intolerance to the inclusivity that Jagex hav stated they support. As such - and perhaps you missed it in the other locked threads you mentioned - Mod Stevew has previously addressed Jagex's stance about intolerance like yours:

Original message details are unavailable.
Hey

I've gently closed this thread to further posting.

There is a real risk that this thread could begin to show some extremist views, people may regret their comments and casual readers might be offended along the way.

The thread is essentially a 'rant' about our desire to make the communities inclusive and welcoming, that alone is red flag. That said a few people have posted comments to offer a balanced view.

It's not my intention to stifle healthy discussion, but leaving this thread viewable but not able to be added to, seems a common sense compromise.

Thanks

Additionally, if you wish to express feedback on the event, you can do so on Mod Light's Pride Event 2023 thread.

Finally,regarding your comments below:

As per Section 22 of the

, please contact Jagex' registered office (address provided on that page), to register your complaint about the moderation of threads in these forums. Additionally, you can use that address ask for the clarification on Jagex stances.
