So the three complaints I come across the most is, RNG (Drop rates) MTX (Microtransactions) and over priced items.

MTX - Most of the cosmetics in this game suck in my own personal opinion, some things are cool like the Lava Tsunami, but they are few and far between, I think the MTX most people have a problem with are the special treasure hunter events that have >0.00001% odds to obtain an multi-million GP item which ties into the first complaint I hear which is drop rates, if these items are removed from all future TH promotions I think this would clear up a lot of MTX complaints.

Drop Rates - I have come across so many threads, people, videos and my own personal experience, where we are all complaining about drop rates, the drop rates are abysmal, we grind for weeks and months, to the point of content exhaustion, and the only response we get is "Go do some other content there is so much" but the problem is that almost every piece of content has an unbearable grind which leaves a sour taste in the players' mouth pushing us to exhaustion on every single piece of content we play. This is true from Barrows to Kerapac to Croesus to Pyramid Plunder and various other minigames, it's obvious this is to try to kill the players spirit and break them to such a point they just buy bonds to bypass the grind, this is wrong on a multitude of levels.

Over Priced Items - I was looking into getting a Dark Onyx Core only to find that people have grinded 250+ events to get nothing, very reminiscent of everything we do in RS, this comes to mind when I tried Pyramid Plunder and Ports, I get the need for grind, but it shouldn't be so grindy that it becomes unbearable and pushes players to the point of exhaustion, that's excessive, so I decided well, I'll just buy the item I want until I saw the price, 500m and 700m, some cosmetics are in the hundreds of millions GP range as well, we need to address this issue, what do I get for a 500m price tag anyway? A 0.001-1% boost and a teleport.

Maybe it's just me but the items really seem like they're not worth grinding for and they're definitely not worth paying for, there are many many items like this where they provide minimal benefit but cost half a billion gold, a lot of things just don't add up here on Runescape.

These three are all tied together - MTX has lousy drop rates, lousy drop rates (on anything) means that there is a limited supply of various items, and due to the laws of supply and demand, with limited supply comes outrageous prices...

I think that Jagex should do a bit more for bad-luck mitigation (maybe allow for players to get shards of the rare drops, which are more common but you need a lot of them to get the actual item, with a small chance at getting the complete item outright), but that's another issue for another thread...
Things may be looking down now, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel;
Do you think I should get off the tracks?

The most important part of this; there needs to be a demand for gold. If every player could get what they want without it the entire game would collapse faster than a black hole.

Imagine if the demand flipped to where you couldn't even get a bond for 250M. We know why players are trading GP for bonds, the other side of that is way more important, way more unknown and way more unstable.

The fact that the system even works is a great thing. They shouldn't be too eager to make changes. Especially when a lot of it is based on cosmetics and barely useful upgrades.
